  1. Yes, because recruiting kids to Iowa State is exactly the same as recruiting them to Auburn. Of course it's not, but he never moved the needle at ISU. He had worse classes than Baylor, the 12th-best team in Texas. Within one year and an appearance in the Outback Bowl he had a Top 5 recruiting class. Add in the Cecil Newton thing and boy, it's a wonder why anyone would question how Chizik became so great.
  2. All these top recruits are par for the course for Gene Chizik. Remember when he was bringing in all that talent at Iowa State? Me neither.
  3. I like Russ Lande, but I don't see how the Bills pass on defense.
  4. How in the world is Anquan Boldin running open across the middle? Good defense, KC.
  5. Michigan Man.
  6. It would be worth it for Bill Plaschke Theater alone.
  7. Niners fans think the franchise just scored Belichick. Good luck with Kyle Orton next season.
  8. Wow, that's a bit of a change from the other day. Word was that Rams OC Pat Shurmur is a candidate so Holmgren would be able to have his say on how the team was coached.
  9. And another awful day for the Carolina Panthers. Nah, they still got Jimmy Clausen. I love that picture. Jimmy Clausen almost seems like a character out of a John Hughes movie.
  10. I don't think John Fox is from the Holmgren coaching tree, so he's out.

  12. This is the best day of Blaine Gabbert's life.
  13. Jason Garrett is official. Where does John Fox go now?
  14. Why is nobody excited about Brady Hoke? Hoke seems like he'd be a really good hire and given that he can run both spread and pro-style offenses (so I've read), could get through a few years with Rich Rod's players and transition to a pro-style down the road.
  15. That's just crazy. Were the Ricky Stanzis of Colorado Springs flooding Denver that day? The only way someone could honestly believe that Tebow is going to be a good quarterback has to be a regular at church or strongly anti-abortion. I'm not saying that to be mean, but it's the only explanation I can think of. Eric Crouch must be pissed, though.
  16. I believe they were/are. Elway just took a position with them and was on the Stanford sidelines. I'm sure that was to woo Harbaugh. From everything I've read they are, but as a Detroit writer pointed out, it doesn't make much sense from Harbaugh's perspective. If they don't win, ownership and the fans are going to be much harder on the college coach with no NFL track record than the hero who returned home. Not only can he not pick his own QB but he's saddled with a total fan favorite who is a project and does not seem at all like the kind of guy Jim would choose. Are the Broncos really that attached to Tebow?
  17. That's what I had assumed, but I had never read anything indicating they were going after him.
  18. I figured the Broncos would be in on Harbaugh.
  19. Jeez, dude, Cardinals fans aren't just hicks from St. Louis; they're also a bunch of hicks from Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee.
  20. Every team in the whole damn division was ranked except for our suckass team I'm just annoyed by the SEC Superhonks that pretend Vanderbilt would be a 10-win team if they played in any other conference. I've never heard anyone say that. That's ludicrous. Then you need to visit the stltoday.com forums some time. There's a bunch of people there who I think are paid by Mike Slive to talk up its greatness.

  22. Arkansas really won this game because Terrelle Pryor sold his jersey.
  23. The SEC West was the hardest conference to win. I just don't think you people understand how difficult it was week-to-week.
  24. ESPN put his name up as "Rodiguez." Racists.
  25. I sort of agree. I see them as the second-worst division champion in football, but they have enough playmakers where they could get an upset, espcially at Arrowhead.
