    I dislike Illinois, but my first reaction to KU being in Big Ten was how good some of the potential basketball match-ups would be, and that includes the Illini. All good points.

    Still, it was against the Bucs and the Chiefs. One is a middle-of-the-road team and the other is vying to be the worst in the league this season. They are not the best team in the NFC North, let alone the NFL. First of all, I said "Look like". I know damn well they aren't the best team, as does anyone with half a brain. Secondly, one team they faced won 10 games last year, the other was a playoff team from last year. Both are young teams that brought back 100% of their nucleus. If you read my posts in this thread (or any time in my 8 years on this board), you would know that I'm one of the people that knows how to keep things in perspective in a board full of "cut him", "fire him", "he sucks", "season over". So, I think I should get the benefit of the doubt that I'm not just spouting BS out of anger. Before I said that, I knew I had statistics behind my point. I don't think you're spouting BS at all. I just don't think wins over Tampa and KC should be a sign of anything other than they are very much improved and probably an 8 or 9 win team.

    two ten-win teams last year beating the Bucs was a good game for them, but the Vikings almost beat them. Its not like the Bus are NE. The Chiefs are laughable. The Bills destroyed them for crying out loud. The lions are good this year, but they aren't world beaters. I think Buffalo beating the Raiders, who 14 games nine years ago, is a positive step forward for their franchise.

    lol the lions just played the worst team in the NFL. we'd look like the best team in the NFL against them. Too bad they didn't beat a 10-win team and completely shut them down for most of the game the week before to help my point. Wins over Bucs + Chiefs = Best in the NFL. Got it. Seriously, look at the damn stats. 5th in yards in offense (which will go up today). 12th in yards allowed defensively, which will go up today. No team will be ranked higher in both after this week.     All I remember is the Scott Linehan who drafted Joe Klopfenstein and then proceeded to throw to him three times over 32 games.

    I think he's been replaced by Cory Matthews. Zingar I refuse to believe a team with Scott Linehan involved in anything more than filling water cups can be good. The Lions have to lose this game.

    Ten teams - seven wins. Going with Ward over Foster and Davone Bess over Mike Tolbert killed me. I thought Bess would be good for 10 points in return yards alone. Nope, the Dolphins go with Clyde Gates.

    I saw an Oakland player get tackled on that punt return, so naturally that means it's a holding on them.

    Yeah, having the tandem of Theriot-Schumaker has hurt him. He's dropped his homers and walks and struck out more batters. If this isn't a clear sign that we need to send those two runts packing, I dunno what is.
