The hate Billy Beane generates because someone decided to write a book that wasn't even specifically about him is baffling. I get it if people don't think Beane is the greatest, but he's the only GM who apparently needs a World Series to validate his employment. -

Punting with 1:30 left too. I know it's an extreme long shot , especially because it was 4th and 28, but what happens if there is a breakdown in coverage and one of the WRs takes it to the house. Now you are 5 down and still a lot of time on the clock. If you punt it, you are asking the Giants to kneel out the game. Is he trying to make the score as respectable as possible Yeah, just really crummy decision making. And now they aren't winning a game until November, so the heat is going to be turned up on Spags. If a team is looking for two top-notch coordinators next season, him and McDaniels might be their guys.
