  1. Dumb trade. Aaron Miles plays the game the right way. He'll be good for the clubhouse and his versatility will be a boost to the Reds. Just another example of Walt Jocketty playing chess while everyone is playing checkers.
  2. It really bites. My Cardinals don't win the World Series without Miles. I'm forever indebted to him.
  3. I was a huge Aaron Miles fan, so obviously it's going to sting watching him 17 times a season.
  4. -Sweep A&M, Colorado (2), Iowa St. (2) and Nebraska -Split the four games against Baylor, Texas, K-State and KU. -Profit Before I opened Bracketology, my guess was that they would be an 8-9 seed and in the same bracket as Kentucky. And Joe Lunardi confirmed my fears. There's still time to move out of it, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's where they are slotted in March.
  5. The market just doesn't value scrappy white guys like it used to.
  6. Some Cardinals fans are dumb enough to think Edmonds going to Chicago was a sign of betrayal. These are people who probably don't get out that much.
  7. I thought I read where the Grizzlies are encouraged by Thabeet. Evans is a really nice player, better than I thought he'd be, but not much of a point guard. If I were the Kings I'd start tanking to get a better shot at John Wall.
  8. Good move by the Cubs. Wish the Cardinals had done it.
  9. The Cavs offense has always ran through LeBron in some fashion. Cavs the Blog mentioned this, but two years ago LeBron was upset because he was not getting any easy baskets. It appears from their research that Mo Williams has improved the amount of easy points they are getting, so maybe they don't need a true point guard. And I recall criticism of their offense just last summer. Re: Felton -- He has improved this season because of Stephen Jackson. Jackson's really boosted the entire Charlotte team, but last week I watched two Bobcats games and Felton's passing was off-the-charts good.
  10. Gunslinger.
  11. Atrocious play calls these last few downs.
  12. Longwell will miss.
  13. Not really. They are probably Bears and Packers fans and it's understandable. Plus, Favre's lover, Joe Buck, is annoying. If he says something along the lines of "Favre is just a gunslinger -- just throwing the old pigskin around in the backyard in his Wranglers" I'll barf.
  14. Just tuned in and the first thing I hear is Buck fellating Favre. I assume this has been the norm.
  15. What's the first thing about football?
  16. If the Colts win the Super Bowl, will our geniuses in the media start moving the goalposts a little further to say Manning isn't the greatest? "Oh yeah, he led his team to 115 wins in the decade and has two Super Bowl rings, but he could have had more." I'll bet Skip Bayless leads the charge on this.
  17. What? A girl died in Busch's car while he was drunk. That means he doesn't get to comment on anyone's misdeeds ever.
  18. Can't expect much more from the guy that came up with Bud Dry. And where does the guy who got off on manslaughter and leading police on a chase get off talking about McGwire's steroid use? Really?
  19. It's a defense mechanism. You learn it when Ankiel plays for your team.
  20. This would the best thing to ever happen to Oklahoma.
  21. Watching the Cleveland offense is painful. I really can't believe that they haven't made any adjustments at all from where they were last year. It's still the "spread out and let LeBron come off the high screen." Granted, it's effective when you've got the equivalent of a Mack truck barreling down the lane, but if it wasn't good enough to get the Cavs into the Finals last season, why is it going to change this season? Last night was a great win for the Cavs, but every time I watch them I get confused as to why they refuse to get a legitimate point guard. It's hindsight now, but Raymond Felton would make them a Finals lock. Besides giving them great, physical defense at the point, he would be the only point guard LeBron has ever had that could actually create shots for him. Maybe this means no Anthony Parker, but who cares?
