    Gotta think there is a Cano angle here. If the Tigers can move Kinsler (Yankees or Mets could absorb his salary), they would have the salary room to sign Cano. But Fister doesn't stand in the way of that. This seems like a panic move. For Doug Fister they should easily have gotten Brian Goodwin.

    I think I was fooled by McCown, who made his line look better than they were. To compare, Andrew Luck had a similarly shitty line protecting him two weeks ago and he played his worst game of the season.

    I kept getting frustrated yesterday because the Rams weren't laying a glove on McCown, so I attributed it to Bushrod having a hell of a game against Quinn. But I'm looking over PFF and he earned a -11.1 with a -8.7 in pass blocking. McCown was hurried 17(!) times, yet he still put up a really strong game. Pretty impressive.

    I understand why LSU or aTm would get the Cotton Bowl, but don't like it. It would be majorly depressing if Missouri puts together one of their best seasons and winds up playing Duke or some other ACC also-ran in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.

    If Missouri wins on Saturday, shouldn't this put them in line for at least the Cotton Bowl? Jerry Palm has LSU projected for it.

    It makes sense if your in-house options for shortstop are Pete Kozma and Daniel Descalso. Since Descalso isn't a shortstop, your option is Kozma. All but six or seven guys (including Wigginton) are pre-arb, so overpaying for Peralta is perfectly acceptable.
