  1. He's earned the right to reject this trade, but I also reserve the right to like him a whole lot less. I'm assuming Dodgers offer a 25 year old A ball guy and a signed Magic Johnson jersey at this point
  2. You'd think he would have had a sit down with his family at any point in say, oh the past 2 years, about the possibility of playing somewhere else and how they'd feel about it. There's a part of this story we are missing...Maybe there never was a list with LA and ATL on it
  3. They pretty much had to. Hard to sell tickets when you let both of your stud defensemen go in one offseason. He will likely be traded after this season I'd bet. Thinking he's going to bitch his way out of town
  4. I think it's reasonable to assume that a FO consisting of Jed and Theo talked to Ryan prior to beginning any trade discussions.
  5. Exactly. I'm assuming Jed and Theo went to Dempster a while back and wanted a list of teams he wouldn't use his no trade 10/5 rights on. Ryan is being unreasonable if he provided said list and then wanted to be consulted again prior to the FO actually agreeing to the trade terms.
  6. I'm assuming Delgado will be about 4 innings into his first start in Iowa or Tennessee before he tweets the trade is confirmed
  7. Heyman reporting the Dodgers are the favorites for Dempster and are also talking about Garza. They've got some decent arms in their system that I'm sure Jed and Theo are asking about.
  8. Latest ridiculous Kane rumor has the Hawks sending Kane/Hammer to the Habs for Subban/Plekanec and a draft pick. Throw in Carey Price and I'd answer the phone at least.
  9. FORWARDS Viktor Stalberg ($0.875m) / Jonathan Toews ($6.300m) / Marian Hossa ($5.275m) Zach Parise ($8.000m) / Patrick Sharp ($5.900m) / Patrick Kane ($6.300m) Bryan Bickell ($0.542m) / Dave Bolland ($3.375m) / Jimmy Hayes ($0.875m) Daniel Carcillo ($0.825m) / Marcus Kruger ($0.900m) / Jamal Mayers ($0.650m) Brandon Bollig ($0.575m) / Andrew Shaw ($0.565m) / DEFENSEMEN Brent Seabrook ($5.800m) / Duncan Keith ($5.538m) Ryan Suter ($7.000m) / Johnny Oduya ($3.383m) Nick Leddy ($1.117m) / Sheldon Brookbank ($1.250m) GOALTENDERS Corey Crawford ($2.667m) Ray Emery ($1.150m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $70,200,000; CAP PAYROLL: $68,861,794; BONUSES: $587,500 CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $1,338,206
  10. It's 2012. He's barely a league average goalie at this point in his career. His wandering style doesn't fit the Hawks scheme. Huge pass.
  11. Vitters named an All Star for the PCL
  12. That's not a bad thought. Hopefully you're right about that. Lots of good will and optimism coming from the NHL and NHLPA yesterday about the oncoming CBA negotiations. Hopefully that continues. Donald Fehr said that the NHLPA is willing to play after the 9/15 deadline as long as negotiations continue to be fruitful. I just can't imagine that the league and PA will allow this to get to a lockout. The league is finally making progress in terms of attendance, TV ratings and revenue. Players and owners are making more money than ever before. A lockout could put it below soccer.
  13. Yes. This. Agreed completely.
  14. Calgary signs Dennis Wideman to a contract, 5.25 per. Two thoughts. One, the Keith/Seabrook deals look amazing. Second, this puts the Suter market, based on Wideman's deal, at roughly 12 million a year.
  15. Since the end of the season, he's been the number one name they've talked about moving. Defensive depth the Hawks have plenty of in the minors. Couple that with his decreased play the past couple seasons and it's easy to see why
  16. I must say I was hilariously wrong about him.
  17. Randy Peterson ‏@RandyPete See ya Riz. He just got pulled Retweeted by Paul Sullivan :bye:
  18. If it comes down to it, I'd bet he'd change his mind if the choice were a Hawk or a Wolf.
  19. I'd happily welcome Luongo in the Indian Head. My only concern, and the reason it likely doesn't happen, is his contract and how that would handcuff Stan into fixing the other glaring holes on the roster. Not to mention Lu's no trade clause he'd have to waive.
  20. Odd swing Looks a bit of a Soriano/Sheffield hybrid.
  21. I guess Bollig's ceiling is being a somewhat capable 4th line guy. At least he looks like he tries to play hockey on occasion when he's not getting all punchy. The goalie situation is bad. Cut the one time goalie of the future in Salak. Hutton just a 1 year have fun in Rockford deal basically.
  22. If any of them get significant minutes next year, things have gone ass up
