  1. For Jay's sake I certainly hope he's not on the team if the Bears go Trubisky. He's run off the field by fans as it is, I can't imagine what it'd be like with the #3 overall pick sitting behind him. I don't hate the idea of another year of Cutler, but I'm past done with the whole meatball shtick. Time for a fresh start for both parties. I feel like there are a handful of teams that aren't disasters that could be potential fits (Arizona, Denver, Houston, Miami, Buffalo). Even the Jets would be awesome for nostalgic reasons. Love the guy, but he needs to take this opportunity to try and succeed somewhere else.
  2. Assuming he receives a clean bill of health (apparently rehabbing very well) and doesn't have any setbacks with the shoulder in TC, I guarantee he'll be starting somewhere next year.
  3. I hate to derail the QB talk, but horsefeathers has Jordan Howard been good. 2nd in the NFL in YPC, 3rd in runs of 20+. I could be wrong but I don't think a Bear RB has averaged 5 YPC with a full season's worth of carries since Payton's '77. Either way, what a ridiculous steal this guy was.
  4. Turns out both were disaster plays, heh. Hope you still won. I benched Watkins for Lockett in my title game, which was a bad mistake, but thankfully D. Johnson and L. Bell bailed me out as they have all year. Best RB tandem I've ever had.
  5. Definitely Lockett over Wallace, who's been hot ass for a good 6 weeks now. I dropped him in both my leagues. Lockett played through injury early in the season and appears finally healthy. For the other, Lewis just because NE will be up big and running the ball late. Can't say that for Mathews and Philly.
  6. Zobrist and Davis will now be teammates on a 3rd different team. Wonder if it's ever happened 4 times.
  7. I feel like Wade Davis isn't a bad looking guy, but I don't fancy men to be fair.
  8. Damn, RIP. He was my absolute favorite player for those few years with the Bears, I was too young to know or care that he was a bust.
  9. Well between Floyd, Howard, and Whitehair it looks like Pace had a pretty damn good draft. Kwiatkoski, Bullard, and Hall have also flashed at times.
  10. I have a feeling he's going to need surgery on that thumb again too. He's going to be even more of a question mark going into 2017 than he already is. Might be forced to take a backup job somewhere.
  11. Fox's clock management makes me so ill.
  12. Yeah, and he probably should have had a couple more sacks Sunday if not for some nice moves by Winston. Floyd's been everywhere lately.
  13. Then you haven't been paying attention. Dude plays better with horsefeathers receivers, and I know numbers would bare that out without even looking it up.
  14. Just checking in to say that this really did happen. And it was beautiful. And it was glorious. May this moment last forever... And farewell to a player we all fell in love with this year, one David Ross. Thank you, Rossy. Thank you for everything. You have cemented a permanent place in Cubs lore and will be remembered forever.
  15. Well if Joe didn't go to Lester when he did, Ross never leads off the next inning. So he earned one of those two runs back.
  16. To quote one Jim Lovell: Gentlemen, it's been a privilege flying with you. Tomorrow, we fulfill our destiny.
  17. My past three hours were filled with anger, frustration, and doubt, but that's stopping right now. After my Heyward rant the other day and especially after this loss, I've decided to sit back and just enjoy the Cubs being in the World Series. By all means they should get back here multiple times in the next 7-8 years, but what if they don't? If baseball becomes cruel and this is it, I want to absorb every damn inning of it as much as I can. This time next week it's all going to be over one way or the other. The Cubs are in the World Series guys, one of our most precious dreams has come true. May whatever is supposed to happen from here, happen.
  18. Let's please make sure Miller can't backup Kluber tomorrow.
