  1. If I had to pick, I rather Peavy go to St. Louis than Milwaukee. I'd prefer neither though.
  2. No reason Blanco should be batting ahead of Z.
  3. In that case, we'll take him. Howard and LeBron >>> Shaq and Kobe. :D
  4. Can't Doug Deeds play some outfield? I'd take him over Fuld or Taguchi.
  5. Hendry's nightmare of an offseason lives on. I don't know if I've ever seen one man weaken a team so much in just a few months. That said, as long as Bradley can be and stay healthy when Ramirez comes back we should be good enough to make a playoff run, assuming none of our other major players get hurt.
  6. Please tell me the Bears are going to add a WR before the season starts. I know Cutler is good, but its a bad sign when the top three targets on the offense aren't WRs.
  7. This would be good. You know we're bad when we have to rely on injuries to win baseball games.
  8. We need a bullpen arm or four before the deadline.
  9. Absolutely no lead is safe with this bullpen. Sad.
  10. This. Bradley getting hurt on a regular basis plus the inadequate 3B production with Ramirez out are two constant reminders of how bad of an off-season Hendry had. There is absolutely no reason we should have not signed Dunn over Bradley. Plus, if the Cubs wanted to get more left-handed then why sign a guy who hits better right-handed? Randy Wells is awesome though.
  11. No option for Culvers' Butterburgers? Sad. Although I like SteakNShake better anyways.
  12. Wells is probably due for a bad start here pretty quickly. Here is hoping its not tomorrow.
  13. One of Miles or Blanco needs to stay. Having only 3 middle infielders isn't the best move when you're counting on some of those guys to be able to back up 3rd, too. While this is true, I'm assuming Jake Fox will be able to adequately backup 3B. :D
  14. You know a team has problems when Ryan Theriot has the second highest OPS. I assume Reed Johnson and his new .838 OPS doesn't count because he only has 78 ABs, but its worth noting that much like last year we are getting good production from CF, this year with Fukudome/Johnson. Problem is out of all the guys we count on to have an .850-.900 OPS (Lee, Soto, Bradley, Soriano, Ramirez), the only one OPSing above .790 is also on the DL :(
  15. How many times has Kosuke struck out on a check swing this year? I prefer the fukucopter.
  16. I like Orlando's chances if they can take one of the first two in LA. Assuming they can do this, with the 2-3-2 format, all they would have to do is take two of three at home to have a 3-2 lead heading into game six. Then all they would have to do is once again take one of two in LA. Easier said than done though, I'm just not sure they match up well with them. But as long as Dwight can stay out of foul and technical foul trouble they should be able to take it six or seven games easy.
  17. It is definitely time for Koyie Hill to get a few more starts.
  18. Johnson's OPS has jumped like 200 points in two days.
  19. Nerves are starting to set in as an Orlando fan. I don't really like our chances against the Lakers assuming we get there, but then again it can't really go any worse than it did in 95. This game ain't over yet though. Got a feeling the Cavs have one final run in them.
  20. Needed to win a game like that. Great performance all around.
  21. Hopefully with Fontenot heating up at the plate we can make do with him at 3B. Its not pretty but I've seen worse D. If Aramis is really going to be back by the all-star break I don't think we need to make any moves. When he comes back I'd like to see Theriot, Fontenot, and Scales remain our middle infielders. Obviously Miles, Blanco, and Freel all need to be off this team. Unfortunately I don't see that happening with Miles barring another injury.
