  1. Brewers losing 17-4. I almost feel sorry for them at this point. They absolutely have no pitching. Gallardo allowed 9 ER tonight.
  2. It helps that he is now playing for the team that was constantly lighting him up last year.
  3. Is anyone else convinced they are going to find a fracture in Theriot's right arm after the game?
  4. You know your day is done when Koyie Hill and Tom Gorzelanny get back-to-back RBI hits.
  5. If Theriot's arm injury is serious, I certainly hope Fox can play SS. :D
  6. Learn to throw the ball over the plate. Thanks.
  7. Fontenot with an OPS above .700 for the first time since June 22nd. :D
  8. Fortunately for the Cubs, Randy Wells is a stud.
  9. Cardinals with a night off so we have a chance to tie it up. We normally own Harang so lets keep it that way.
  10. 07-08= Brian Roberts 08-09= Jake Peavy 09-10= Felix Hernandez I can hardly wait.
  11. Am I the only one that wouldn't have made this deal? Sure Roberts is a big upgrade at 2nd, but I'm not sure his .786 OPS is worth giving up a huge bat like Fox, a middle infielder with some power who would make a good backup (Fontenot), and then three other prospects on top of that. After these last couple days, its going to take a whole lot for me to be willing to part with Fox.
  12. MLBTR had this on the Brewers yesterday Still, I dont trust it and I wouldnt be shocked if they did something big. Yeah, I don't know how Melvin expects to acquire quality starting pitching without giving up Escobar or Gamel.
  13. Speaking of the Brewers, are they just conceding this season or what? I read last night that they weren't going to acquire any pitching which is what they need.
  14. Makes me wonder if we're getting a bat later. Although I have to admit, after watching the Cubs put up 24 runs in the last two games it seems kind of silly to want a bat.
  15. Hart, Ascanio, Harrison for Grabow and Gorzelanny? Pretty even trade. With Hart gone and Gorzelanny to AAA, I assume Marshall goes back into the rotation?
  16. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure every move Hendry has made since acquiring Harden has been awful.
  17. totally agree...but i think they are targeting middle infielders currently Send Miles. :beg:
  18. Lol Jim Hendry. I hope Grabow and Gorzelanny can swing a bat and play 2B.
  19. Gorzelanny is like Marshall but not as good. Why would we need him? Is Lilly going to be out longer than expected? Even if this were so, getting Grabow allows Marshall to go back to the rotation. Way to go Hendry. Either trade for a bat or don't trade at all. ](*,)
