    With the exeption of Lee...there is not ONE position player that I would trade Rasmus for on the Cubs. Who on your team do U think could be traded strait up for Ras? (taking ARam out of the equasion due to the injury factor)

    I never read Mariotti, but I watch Around the horn and I think the gut is smart as they come, and I like him the most of the 10 or so writers featured on that show. Someone said they hated his face! I never noticed anything unusual about the Dude's face. I will take note on todays show. :roll:

    I think I remember that. Todd Worrell was the pitcher. Wasn't it against the Cubs? About 87 or 88? It was in FACT Worrell...it was the year of the Seoul Olypics, whatever year that was....I remember because all the chicks in the bar wanted to see figure skating. Had to punch out a few of 'em.

    :-)) :-)) :-)) OK, here's the deal: One of the relievers grew his and had a good outing, so the other relievers being young, superstitious guys did it too....then Carp reluctantly went along to be a good teamate. Then Shumacker grew one. The pornstache cannot be stopped...you can only hope to contain it! :-&

    Just curious....why so interested in young men growing facial hair? That's about the 50th comment on it. It's not just facial hair, its douchebag facial hair, and come to think of it...your right there shouldn't be such an interest in it. If the Cardinals want to look like the majority of their fans, then that's great for them. I resent that as I have a mustache!!

    Tony has decided to make game one interesting by putting the no hit/no field twins back to back behind Ludwick....my prediction for the two of them: 1 for nine with 2 errors in the field. Oh well, Let's play 2! :clapping:

    Interesting discussion between the Cards vs. Cubs factions...let me throw my 2 cents in. Let's put the Rasmus thing to rest: he's a good baseball player. As to why the Cubs are behind the Cards, who knows? They match up on paper pretty well. Frankly, with the poor management LaGenius has shown this year I'm surprized we are over .500 We have 3 players that I would love to see kicked off the team, and I see 3 players on the Cubs that need to go. Why our respective F.O.s don't see it is a mystery. Finally, I never bought into the myth that some towns have "bad fans" The St. Louis forums and radio talk shows are filled with insults of the Cub faithful and their "funky old park". But when I go to a ball game there is nothing but good natured ribbing between us. I guess it comes down to good manners...face to face people want to get along. But a forum is different. Too bad. Now you can tell me to go to hell.
