  1. oh for the love of god! if i see manny win another world series i will [expletive] puke! If San Diego wanted Maybin and Miller for Bell, I can only imagine the number of great prospects the Padres will want from LA for Gonzalez and Bell. the really scary part here is that they are engaged in talks for adrian...if they have the prospects to get him and they balk at the price then they could easily switch gears and grab halladay in the final few minutes

  3. In reference to the Martinez deal. Hagadone was the Sox No. 3 prospect entering the season according to BA. Sounds like Cleveland did REALLY well in getting two live arms for Victor Martinez. I really like Hagadone but they should be able to pull off Buchholz if they're trading Victor Martinez. i can't believe cleveland isn't getting lars anderson
  4. Bronson Arroyo-S-Reds Jul. 31 - 10:23 am et Bronson Arroyo told the Boston Herald Thursday that he used androstenedione and amphetamines back in the early 2000s. Both substances were fair game at the time he was taking them, but have since been banned by Major League Baseball. "Before 2004, none of us paid any attention to anything we took," said the Reds starter. "Andro made me feel great, I felt like a monster. I felt like I could jump and hit my head on the basketball rim." It's also the substance that was found in Mark McGwire's locker during the summer of 1998. More admissions like this would be truly refreshing. Source: Boston Herald Now, if everyone who was doing this stuff would just come forward, baseball would be able to heal collectively! =D>
  5. Do you think this slightly tarnishes the Red Sox World Series Championships?
  6. I'd like Ross and think he'd be useful, but there's no room for him if Reed's going to be back in a couple weeks. The Marlins arent looking to sell. They're looking to move Hermida, as they were all off season. You're probably right, but Ross' name was brought up and I responded. They have no real reason to trade him. I'd still kind of like Hermida for cheap. From Bruce's blog this morning: which is hilarious because his value is fading extremely fast...i guess they are banking on him maturing next season
  7. I don't think most of the people who would want to sell high on Wells is thinking so because they fear Rich Hill redux. If you think Wells is likely to regress, then you can capitalize on his value since you have several options who are decent options to be as good as future Wells(Marshall, Gorzelanny, even Samardzija/Cashner/Jackson). Problem is there's not many places on the roster to upgrade, so unless Wells goes in some package for Utley or something, there's not much risk of him getting dealt. utley? =P~
  8. doumit McCutchen. Dude is impressive. dude needs to cut his hair
  9. if that is it, then hendry deserves his first pat on the back in over a year i still don't agree with the trade though
  10. what!? if the trade looks lopsided, folks are free to criticize it. i don't see anyone here talking about how they won't be able to go have drinks with these guys anymore because they are gone.
  11. No official announcement yet, either, though. i know it is a possibility, but i can't even fathom a reason they would want fox i would think fox would go in a package to the royals for teahen or some other AL team
  12. yes fox isn't going in this deal, i don't really see why pittsburg would want him
  13. curiously and very nervously awaiting the announcement of the players going to the buccos
  14. dempster? I think he means BJ. ok...forgot we had him for a second
  15. totally agree...but i think they are targeting middle infielders currently Lee and Castro are MI thats what i meant
  16. how do you find this out? http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/elias-rankings/ thank you
  17. totally agree...but i think they are targeting middle infielders currently
  18. Awful. Just awful. this season is, amazingly, probably going to be remembered for a long time
  19. 3:22pm: Kovacevic says Grabow and Gorzelanny to the Cubs is almost done, while Chris De Luca of the Chicago Sun-Times says they closed the deal.
