  1. Well the main problem is the Cubs only scored 1 run off a bad pitcher No [expletive].
  2. So frustrating to have Wood and Cahill give us six unblemished innings and hand it over to Grimm for this to happen.
  3. Whoa, the best way to avoid the opponent tying or taking the lead is to score more runs than them? MY MIND IS BLOWN. I feel like your favorite baseball team not performing perfectly at everything all the time is one of those natural annoyances everyone will always complain about regardless of how silly it is. No, everyone doesn't.
  4. We've had 7 innings to score runs and we've scored them in bunches for two months now. It wasn't imperative to score them in the first.
  5. Well, we had no middle infield depth. I mean, Jonathan Herrera was able to survive the whole season without being cut. And LaStella showed that he was a decent on-base guy in Atlanta. And Vizcaino is a relief pitcher that has been hurt for, like, 8 consecutive seasons. And, he's sorta just meh. Vizcaino has been really good this year closing games for Atlanta. He would be a lot better than a Rodney or Soriano have been. He's not been "really good." His xFIP is 3.96. And he was bad last year and he hadn't been fully healthy in years. He is better than Soriano, and we probably misjudged how good our young bullpen depth was before the season. But, even if we lose the trade, we aren't going to lose it too bad. He's a relief pitcher.

  7. It's O.K., Sofa. The dreamy LaStella will rescue us.
  8. 6IP 3H 0ER 0BB 8K combined from Wood and Cahill. lol Phillies
  9. I wasn't 100% positive that it was actually Trevor Cahill and not some random fan that won an in-game promotion, when they showed him jogging in on the Phillies broadcast.
  10. Including playoffs and I would consider the over at 25 I'd be tempted to take the over, except maybe Joe rests him a bunch in the final week of the regular season after we've already clinched the division title.
  11. Who gives a [expletive] about Randal Grichuk?
  12. The correct way to read this is him screaming it in terror. hahaha
  13. Over/under a total of 30 home runs on the season for Schwarber?
  14. This Phillies announcer says he thinks LaStella is "one of the greatest young hitters you'll see." The other agrees.
  15. Can't believe the Phillies couldn't get that guy in. What a bunch of idiots.
  16. Every time a Cub not named La Stella steps to the plate they have a RISP. And every time they fail to drive that run in it is just the worst thing ever. Like, seriously, how do you not get those runs in!
  17. Not to mention: We are playing the Phillies!
