  1. After he dives and misses, it's probably a triple.
  2. I hope they hit about 15 balls out there to Heyward tonight.
  3. I mean, that is pretty sophomoric. But, if we are going to go down that road with this rivalry, then I am fine with an endless loop of October Dongs rolling on our video board.
  4. I haven't had much fun looking at any box scores yet. Part of the problem is that I still need to readjust my expectations, with no Bryant/Schwarber/Soler dongsmiths floating around. But, also, we have quite a few of our good pitching prospects that haven't made their debuts yet this year. I imagine things will look better eventually. I do like that we have some talent at every level, though. And I am enjoying Willson Contreras maintaining his absurd hitting from last year.
  5. Let's make their run differential negative by the time we leave town.
  6. 7 IP 6 H 1 ER 2 BB 5 K 0 HR He will also walk and score a run.
  7. The two teams with the longest active win streaks: the Twins and the Braves.
  8. Donnie Dewees was 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk today. Ian Happ was 2-3 with 2 BB and a SB. Caratini was 2-4 with a double and a walk.
  9. That's... frustrating. Jorge had a good read on it, too.
  10. Willson Contreras is 3-4 with a double. Ho-hum. Also, Vogelbach is 2-2 with a double and 2 BB.
  11. That may have been the quintessential Javy Baez game. He ranged up the middle to get a ball that possibly no other second baseman is able to get. On the same play, he then makes a horrible decision to try to throw the guy out. He uses his speed to beat out a grounder down the third-base line. He makes a nice play defensively, and is also involved in a beautiful DP. He flails wildly at a number of really ugly breaking balls, some in the dirt. He strikes out swinging twice. Then, he somehow is able to reach a ball in a ridiculous location and line it for a double.
  12. Alright, Javy. But please quit hacking at shitty pitches in the dirt.
  13. Another Soler bomb would make me very happy.

  15. Hey, we've been successful on the bases today, too.
  16. Adam Wainwright on the year: 16.1IP 22H 9BB 7K 7.71ERA
  17. I've been quite impressed by Jorge, though. He's laying off all the junk. He's working deep counts and accepting walks. He's making his usual hard contact. Now he's elevating the ball again. And to think, what, five days ago, we were set to dub him as the new Piss Break.
