    Also, that last game could very well mean nothing for them. Depending on who they are tied with or a game up on, a loss or win by that other team could also clinch it for them or the other team. So, now, you are pitching him in a game that has about a 50% chance of not mattering. And he must win that game, where another starter wouldn't. It could be a 13-4 game. The Wild Card Game, however, is win-or-go-home. And it is against a tough opponent, pitching a good starter.
