  1. Like, at some point it's going to start raining hard again, and they won't end up getting through 5 innings and everything will be wiped out. oh, does the radar show a lot more rain coming through? I thought people were indicating that, but maybe not. Let's hope not at this point, at least.
  2. what do you mean? Like, at some point it's going to start raining hard again, and they won't end up getting through 5 innings and everything will be wiped out.
  3. I was trying to give R Mack the benefit of the doubt because I felt he was being bullied, but bullying him is the right thing to do.
  4. Hopefully, that momentum carries over to tomorrow.
  5. I suppose you can start feeling frisky again in three decades if you want. But don't say for one second that before 2016 that you wouldn't have given up the rest of your Cubs fan career to see it happen just once. Maybe you would have, but my quota has been filled. I want to see another one, sure, but you still have to appreciate the one we just got less than two years ago. Never forget. I'd rather see them win again when they're in a championship window, otherwise it might be a 33+ year drought like the Bears with no titles in sight. One championship in 109 years just isn't good enough, sorry. Well, first, they have a chance to win another championship again. Second, there are other ways you can look at it. One championship in two years. Or three championships in 110 years.
  6. I'm actually willing to consider this, because I have. It's impossible to measure because there is no stat, but I still saying winning the biggest sports championship in the history of the game, and the core doing it at such a young age, might have affected that "edge" of a team. Pretty sure nobody would agree, though.
  7. Daaaaaaamn. I'm not ever letting 2016 go. Dude, that was the year all living Cubs fans were waiting for, dreamed and prayed about. Damn you. But, were you happy that night or already thinking about how they might fail to repeat? Just trying to learn more about you before I jump in and judge you like everyone else has. I'm not letting the 1985 Bears go either, 33 years later and look where they are I suppose you can start feeling frisky again in three decades if you want. 8. It's time to let 2016 go, it was great and happened and last year was fine with the World Series hangover excuse but what's the excuse now?
  9. I think the only way I would be happy is if the Cubs had the best record in the National League. During this time of talent, I just always feel like anything else is underachieving.
  10. Does R Mack or anybody remember if he was happy the night we won the Series? Or was he like Pete Rose and talking about how in six years we were going to lose all these guys?
  11. But! The NL Central has four teams that might be worse.
  12. The Cubs had chances to score tonight, just couldn't quite get it done. Hopefully, they have some magic again in the ninth.
  13. If a pitcher was able to never make a mistake and never throw a strike near the plate, I wonder how many times Javy would walk? I just don't think he's interested in doing it, so I say almost never.
  14. These are the times Javy comes through and makes you not as mad when he strikes out with a guy at third.
  15. What sucks is that pitcher would not have thrown three straight strikes. I believe.
