Like, at some point it's going to start raining hard again, and they won't end up getting through 5 innings and everything will be wiped out. oh, does the radar show a lot more rain coming through? I thought people were indicating that, but maybe not. Let's hope not at this point, at least.

I suppose you can start feeling frisky again in three decades if you want. But don't say for one second that before 2016 that you wouldn't have given up the rest of your Cubs fan career to see it happen just once. Maybe you would have, but my quota has been filled. I want to see another one, sure, but you still have to appreciate the one we just got less than two years ago. Never forget. I'd rather see them win again when they're in a championship window, otherwise it might be a 33+ year drought like the Bears with no titles in sight. One championship in 109 years just isn't good enough, sorry. Well, first, they have a chance to win another championship again. Second, there are other ways you can look at it. One championship in two years. Or three championships in 110 years.

I'm actually willing to consider this, because I have. It's impossible to measure because there is no stat, but I still saying winning the biggest sports championship in the history of the game, and the core doing it at such a young age, might have affected that "edge" of a team. Pretty sure nobody would agree, though.

But, were you happy that night or already thinking about how they might fail to repeat? Just trying to learn more about you before I jump in and judge you like everyone else has. I'm not letting the 1985 Bears go either, 33 years later and look where they are I suppose you can start feeling frisky again in three decades if you want. I think the only way I would be happy is if the Cubs had the best record in the National League. During this time of talent, I just always feel like anything else is underachieving.
