Here's my conspiracy theory which actually isn't true. The ump and the grounds crew guy met before this inning, and they were talking about the radar and rain coming up. And the ump decided to make the zone a bit tight to get this thing in.

I want KB to risk running into an out and try to steal second, to then try to steal a run. I'm thinking most would rather let Kyle try to dong, which also is fine.

I feel like KB is too great a base runner to be one of those guys to slide into first, but it's all good.
