I think I prefer a clean batting average, good on-base, 10-homer Addy over a crappy batting average, crappy on-base, 21-homer Addy. ETA: But the 21-homer other crappy stuff Addy might be considered better value for all I know.

It can be a lot, lot worse than what you've seen. This is true. We've all been Cubs fans long enough to know that. But this is a Super Team, and my expectations are so much larger for them.
