  1. I nominate this to be the official Soler HR gif.
  2. And Javy is going to figure it out and they'll have 4 guys with legit 40+ HR power.
  3. Official statement from the league regarding West: http://img.pandawhale.com/102269-yes-its-true-this-man-has-no-d-7hR2.gif
  4. Since Soler, Bryant, and Russell are all pretty safe bets to at least be above average major leaguers, it will be so amazing if Baez figures it out (like he has at every level so far).
  5. joe [expletive] mather tho Wait...hold on...lol....So you're saying that if I didn't buy a Joe Mather jersey then I'm not allowed to enjoy it if Baez hits 40 next year!?
  6. It doesn't matter if the Cubs are awesome next year because our scars remind us that the past is real. I tear my heart open just to feel.
  7. That would be sweet, and possible but it doesn't seem likely to me given this FO's pattern with high school pitchers. Both Underwood and Blackburn each spent a full season at Boise after spending their first partial season (after being drafted) in Mesa. The same held true for I don't think it's probably that all 5 of those guys are there, but Sands and Steele have been much better than Underwood, Blackburn, and Clifton were. And for some reason, I always forget that it's Mejia and not Meija.
  8. Meija 4.1IP 1H 1R 1BB 5K A KC rotation of Stinnett, Sands, Steele, Meija, Clifton next year would be pretty sweet.
  9. Just imagine how bad the Reds AAA team would kick the [expletive] out of us. *shudder*
  10. Soler's HR was one of the greatest moments of my life. Baez hitting it 403ft was one of the worst moments of my life. Anyone giving Castro [expletive] for making a mental mistake a week after a car full of his loved ones died is a piece of [expletive].
  11. Damnit, this is my first game since Rizzo came up. Soler better be as majestic as I imagine him.
  12. Zastryzny is the minor league Edwin Jackson.
  13. Lower back tightness for Rizzo. Not considered serious.
  14. http://s3-ec.buzzfed.com/static/enhanced/webdr02/2012/12/15/17/anigif_enhanced-buzz-2774-1355609789-3.gif
  15. I remember me and my friends wanted to stay until the Brewers game was over (and a lot of other Cub fans seemed to have the same idea) but they shut off the scoreboard and started shutting off all the lights. Bitter jerks.
  16. I know it's unlikely due to Boras, but it'd be so great to work out a longterm deal with Bryant this offseason. I really want to start next season with the full first wave.
  17. I went in '03. Paid $6 for nose bleed seat. the stadium was empty and I secured seats about 15 rows behind 3rd base by the 3rd inning. I went in 03 also. The Estes game...but I remember the stadium being pretty packed. I only live a couple hours away. I went for the division clincher in 07, but we actually clinched when the Brewers lost an hour after the game, so it wasn't all that exciting.
  18. Hot damn, you can get tickets to Reds games for $6! So long, suckers!
  19. This has to suck for Bryant, who's had the best season of anyone in baseball.
  20. Nah, they won't break Soler in at cleanup. Castro 4th. And Soler/Coghlan would definitely switch positions. Might be a dumb question but how much of RF has Soler played? Pretty sure it's been his primary position his whole career.
