  1. 25 years old Plays 3rd base Nice power Not so nice OBP Sure, why the heck not. I liked him when he was first coming up and played on the Reds
  2. Yeah, that comment that someone caught him making at the Gray start he attended about "finding our Verlander" may be true.
  3. Is that probably it for him for the night? PC has to be decently high with 6k's, 3h, and a bb
  4. Seems like there may be more ideal times to screw around and joke with one's teammates than during play, on the field, in the bottom of the 7th inning of a 3-run game.
  5. I assume that means he's looking for 1/2 of slot of the #1 pick? It means he wants something around the full slot of the 1 or 2 pick. Confusingly typed, but he's not settling for half-slot. Gotcha, well, that makes more sense.
  6. From ABTY.. I assume that means he's looking for 1/2 of slot of the #1 pick?
  7. Speaking of, he has to be close to coming back. Right? About 4 weeks away, per a Des Moine newspaper from a few days ago. Wow, still that long? Didn't think it was a 10+ week injury. Or is that just the time to get to Iowa and he will be starting out in Arizona soon to get into game shape?
  8. Speaking of, he has to be close to coming back. Right?
  9. Gotcha, and I agree that it's weird how there seems to be a number of those who are completely anti-saber that actually did things in their playing days that saber really likes/points to them being good players.
  10. Wedge's slash lines in his miserable 4 seasons in the bigs .233.340 .430 .770 9 seasons in the minors .249.347.443.790 He's a manager. Baseball is a strange business. What's your point? A good amount of coaches/managers are guys who were average-to down right awful at the top level of their sport before getting into coaching.
  11. 1. Appel 2. Bryant 3. Gray
  12. I thought they were getting rid of that damn thing
  13. Lebron probably won't get called for 6 fouls combined the rest of the Pacers-Heat series
  14. Agree with you on the mental aspect possibly, probably, carrying over to the field and causing him to maybe not being as focused and/or trying to make up for his offense on defense plays and being too aggressive with throws. Also Baez is considered to have pretty good range and a strong arm, right? So maybe he's ranging for balls a good amount of ss don't even get to and having to make hard(er) throws with is range/confidence in his arm? I mean I assume he's not like Theriot where he has a noodle arm and can only make it to balls a few steps either way and basically can't make any throws going into the hole/on the backhand and then is committing an error on more routine ground balls? If only we had beat writers who cared to up date us on our top prospects when they see one has so many errors with their connections to the FO and see what their pov is. Instead they'd just attribute it to the brown guys not hustling, being hot heads and being mentally soft or not gritty (white) or something.
  15. This leaves Daytona with just 23 players, 12 pitchers (7 relievers plus Cates/Wells/Burke/Francescon/Kirk), and 11 hitters. There will likely be a couple more bodies heading to Daytona soon. So Larry Suarez pitched for Daytona (up from EXST) last night, so there's your pitcher. And I thought I read Yaniel Cabezas was sent up to Daytona as well (giving them 3 catchers with Krist and Davis). Raisin - you know better than me, whats our obsession with having 3 catchers on a minor league team? AA has 3 catchers now too, and for a while, so did KC (Contreras, Escobar, and Cabezas). Maybe just throwing [expletive] against a wall since we have no real catching prospects?
  16. His alarming k% and bb% are nothing to scoff at but, mostly, yes. He also committed either his 24th or 26th error tonight and while using errors to judge defensive abilities (especially in the low-mid minors with a young guy) isn't usually smart that's a really large number.
  17. JORDAN WOULDN'T FOUL OUT THERE
  18. Dr. Lewis Yocum died, only 65, of liver cancer. Saved/extended a ton of guys careers. http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/story/_/id/9319742/los-angeles-angels-noted-tommy-john-surgeon-lewis-yocum-dies
  19. How about Aaron Blair, since ABTY had this to say
  20. Reggie Golden promoted to Kane County, I kind of forgot he was a thing, according to a poster on PSD

  22. Those cranes holding up tarps made me think of this, with AD's release this weekend maybe that's where they drew the inspiration. http://www.usnews.com/dbimages/master/42046/FE_130522_ad2.jpg
  23. Would a decent comp for Bryant be Jayson Werth before the injuries?
  24. I'm not 100% sure but I think so. Pretty sure we said no/demanded another player or something.
