    Unless it's an incredibly quick sign I doubt all 3 are in Daytona together. After Bryant signs he will go to Arizona for a bit then one of, if not both, Boise/KC I'd think and by the time he'd get sent to Daytona Soler will be in Tennessee.

    So if Bryant gets to KC this year, what happens to Jeimer? Move to 1B? What happens next year when both will likely be ready for Daytona? Obviously Bryant is getting priority at 3B, but what's Jeimer's next position?

    Which is what Marlin said a day ago. Damn, I wonder who the hell that guy is? abty seems to just throw a ton of stuff out there that may or may not be true, but marlin is definitely somebody to listen to. Pretty sure Marlin has direct connection to someone in the Cubs FO, might even be a family member(s) in there.

    Can competitive balance picks be traded during the draft? Or do they need to be traded before the draft starts?

    http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=2194 I was in Vegas last week and saw Pete Rose sitting at a folding table at a store in the Mirage with literally nobody in line to get an autograph. Apparently this is his job now. He's been doing that thing for a while now out there, the last 5-6 times I've been out there dating back to probably mid 2000s he was "working" doing the same thing at the sports memorabilia place in the Ceasar Palace shops.

    White Sox leave Addison Reed in to pitch a second inning of relief after blowing a 5 run lead in the previous inning (14th). He's approaching 50 pitches....

    Henry Rodriguez was DFA'd from the Nats. Looks like he's pretty wild but he has good stuff, his average FB velo is like 97mph this year. Wouldn't be a bad pick up to throw in the middle relief mix. He's also only 26.

    Wait, what? They went all those innings with 0 runs and then that happened? Baseball is [expletive] crazy. I was paying attention to this game because I couldn't get a damn win out of Iwakuma. Yep, Seattle scored 1 with the bases loaded and then hit a GS to tie it. They could have won it, but those HR are rally killers. For the life of me, I can't remember what dumbass said that. One of the MLBN guys, I think it was Plesac or Mitch Williams

    Weren't there some initial allegations that A-Rod was acting as some sort of middle man/promoter of Biogenesis to guys in the league to get them on whatever PED(s) they were making?

    If the Braun suspension stuff is true I could see the Brewers going into a sell of mode of the veteran guys like Ramirez/Gallardo/Lohse/Weeks/Hart. Maybe their asking price for Gallardo will drop a bit if they intend to just sell most of the established guys off to replenish their terrible farm system.

    23/26 bb/k to 9/56 bb/k as well..... So other than the younger guy not hitting for as much power he's doing everything better after it took Baez a crazy hot stretch recently just to get here.

    ABTY thinks we have our top 4 at 1. Bryant 2. Appel 3. Moran 4. Gray. But also said it's really close and multiple scouts have told him they have all 4 graded so closely they could virtually be interchangeable.

    He's basically not throwing his change up at all this year, 1.3% of the time. He has thrown it at a 8.9% rate for his career and has been over 8 the last two. His FB velo is about 1 MPH down against his career averages. He's also throwing his curveball at a higher rate than he ever has in his career by more than double.

    I'm too lazy to look it up but I'd imagine Jackson's peripherals are much better than his surface numbers with a 50% rate? He has to have run into a bit of babip back luck and/or is walking too many guys.

    I'd say it's pretty close. Can picks be traded while the draft is happening or do they need to be done leading up to the draft? I trust that it's fair value if you can trade during the draft and a scenario plays out that the FO likes a guy who has dropped to the 30's (Manae, Austin Wilson, Wahl, Connor Jones, Okey, etc.) and it takes Jackson to get there. If it's just before the draft and you are hoping certain guys fall then you get there and nobody is there that you rate is worthy when the pick comes up, then maybe slightly below value? But also it gets you a higher pool.

    Those scouts should be fired if that's the logic for making that statement (guessing they might be butt hurt Pirates scouts). It's not like Appel turned down their offer because he wanted to take a year off spending his time doing blow and throwing change at strippers. He turned it down because he thought he was worth more and wanted to prove it, which he did. If anything it points to a strong character makeup and a guy who is striving to be the best.
