    If we are "stashing" him in Iowa there's no reason not to try and make him a starter and hope the coaches can find something in his mechanics/etc. to fix to make him a starter. This could be one of Derek Johnson's #1 projects the rest of the year.

    Ha, that was a good read. Makes me wonder if he lied about his age when he initially signed, I know he's terrible and never took walks in his life but if he was really 3-5 years older than he said that could be a explanation for being a above average guys for a few years to becoming bascially a A/AA player.

    Korver to Brooklyn and Bucks offered Jennings qualifying offer. There are rumors he's going to accept for the one year since the PG market is nearly non-existant.

    Angels have won 6 in a row, still 9 out of the division and 7.5 out of the wildcard. You know they will be buyers if they can be within shouting distance so it's probably good if they continue the win streak. Do they have any prospects of note after the Greinke trade?

    That should help them solidify another 2nd round playoff exit. 2016 first round pick and 2 future #'1 + Novak/Camby seems like a lot.

    Soriano in the midst of going on one of his streaks and it really couldn't come at a better time (trade value). 1.077 OPS over the last week.

    Skaggs and Bradley alone wouldn't do it for me. It would get my attention, but it's just not quite enough. Yeah. And this makes it sound like asking for either stopped the talks. That's pretty ridiculous, and surprising, considering how little it took for them to send Bauer away. But really, does Buster Olney know anything about anything? This, or it's also Kevin Towers that they are dealing with and nobody seems to understand how he values players or his transactions

    So what would be a team willing to trade pool money, has guys comparable to the Greinke trade (aka near or at major league young talent), and a need for Garza. The Royals seem to be the best fit, imo. Also I wonder if they'd try and put B. Jax in a trade with him to clear a 40-man spot?

    What does that mean? I think he might be saying that nobody here realizes it's normal Chicago politics. If he's not...then I have no clue what he might be saying. I think everyone here has acknowledged Tunney is doing what he's doing to serve what's perceived to be the best interest of his electors. And a lot of what he's doing is bargaining and being a whiny bitch. Whether or not stopping the pedestrian bridge is something they directly want or a side act to get something else done is yet to be made clear. So yes that post makes no sense.

    What do the Orioles have, other than Bundy (pipe dream but maybe the TJS surgery is enough to pry him) that would be a decent return? Would you build a package around Bundy+ for Samardzija(knowing how much Samardzija is going to cost soon)?

    He's been rumored to be going to the Bucks before, I know. The Bucks don't have a ton to offer, however. They wouldn't trade Sanders and I doubt the Celtics are interested in Jennings/Ellis in a S&T. Maybe Henson and picks or the Greece dude (Giannis Adawhatever) and picks? Sacramento for Boogie? S&T for Josh Smith?

    I was talking to one of my buddies about this last night, he said apparently one of those failure to perform/meet team standard clauses would cover this in Hernandez's contract and it's pretty common but apparently he didn't have one. Idk where he heard that but he usually is right about stuff like that.
