  1. Put Louis Riddick in the booth, idiots
  2. Such a shortsighted move to hurt the product/talent long term to save inconsequential money. But hopefully we aren’t complete poor idiots and take advantage of the UDFA’s. Someone(s) is going to clean up there and spend a few hundred thousand.
  3. Yeah the Cowboys had a really solid draft and some of the talking heads liked their FA during the draft, iirc. I think the Cowboys have a legit chance to be a top 3 NFC team this year. The Jets may be there in the AFC in a few years I suppose. But upside just for this year give me the Cowboys. Every year: Boys going to the Super Bowl -Espn Every year: Dallas out EARLY THIS YEAR IS SURELY DIFFERENT I think they objectively have a talented roster, what’s happened in past years shouldn’t matter. I literally don’t have a horse in the race, I have no allegiance to an NFL team. I think they have a talented roster and one more talented with more upside than the Jets this year for sure.
  4. Define upside? Because the Cowboys are certainly better than the Jets currently. Like, in the offseason? Sure. But the Jets just rolled that draft. Dallas didn’t do horsefeathers except sign Andy Dalton. (Thats not really true, Dallas had a good draft, but horsefeathers sticking up for the Dallas Cowboys) Yeah the Cowboys had a really solid draft and some of the talking heads liked their FA during the draft, iirc. 5. SHUT UP ABOUT THE JETS Why? At this point they have more upside then the horsefeathering cowboys Define upside? Because the Cowboys are certainly better than the Jets currently.
  6. It would definitely be different but tons of people would still watch and get enjoyment out of it and a distraction from everything going on. Just seems like it’s impossible to do anything with fans and anything more than essential personnel in arenas/stadiums if we want sports back anytime soon. If they can do it safely I’m all for it, it being different and weird be damned. i never said i didn't want to it to happen. i'll take whatever half assed sports leagues i can get right now. i'm saying it from the perspective of the players and the people running the league. i'd rather cancel the season than award some watered down championship that is always remembered as the corona cup or whatever. That’s all fine. But there’s plenty (and I include myself in this) that would be fine with sports back in some capacity for entertainment and distraction if it can be pulled off safely and don’t really care what it means historically with championships or W/L records.
  7. I came up for season tickets this year and passed, when I originally signed up the rough math worked to me coming up 10 or so years from now when I could maybe make something work. But it just didn’t make sense right now for me. I live ~3 hours away and could maybe get to 12-15 games a year on an optimistic outlook and couldn’t find any friends/family to go in with that would take 15-20+ games. So all you assholes who moved up can thank me for letting you move up 1 extra spot.
  8. Guessing it ultimately comes down to if Disney or MGM/Caesar’s/Wynn/whoever in Vegas give them the best deal. Since they’re all hurting for business. Or if they have to get to that 70 game mark, maybe they send the non playoff teams to one city and the playoff teams to the other or something.
  9. but, like, why would fans be necessary in elimination games for some reason? because it would be lame as hell celebrating championships in empty arenas It would definitely be different but tons of people would still watch and get enjoyment out of it and a distraction from everything going on. Just seems like it’s impossible to do anything with fans and anything more than essential personnel in arenas/stadiums if we want sports back anytime soon. If they can do it safely I’m all for it, it being different and weird be damned.
  10. This is going to be arguably the worst draft of all time at least. There’s so little talent. Or at least star/impact talent. I don't follow college, but can it really be worse than 2000? It has as good a chance as any recent draft class to challenge it for the worst of all time, IMO. It’s a really bad draft class/pool of talent. I wouldn’t be surprised if the “best” player ends up being taken outside the top 10.
  11. This is going to be arguably the worst draft of all time at least. There’s so little talent. Or at least star/impact talent.
  12. The teams need to get to 70 regular season games played or else owe their RSN’s money back on the year, fwiw. I think they should just jump to the playoffs and it would be dumb to force the like Kings, Knicks, T’wolves, Bulls, warriors, etc to show up for 3-7 games and increase the odds someone brings or has the virus with all those added players.
  13. I'm sure they are hoping for people to accept the credit with a 5% bonus and then be essentially locked into Season Tickets for next year, but with all the uncertainty around the schedule this year (and possibly beyond) that would seem like an unwise choice for anyone to make. If it’s still mostly disposable money for someone, 5% on your money isn’t the worst thing to be getting right now. Plus that credit.
  14. A-Rod with Machado’s body, well that’s reasonable
  15. Pretty sure they’ve said the DH and expanded rosters will be part of any plan. I also think our roster is built perfectly fine for a DH and we aren’t at an inherit disadvantage vs an AL team. Between Schwarbs, Souza, Happ, Kipnis, Rizzo, Vic, Willy, KB and Bote we have a lot of flexibility with how to play guys in different spots and use the DH.
  16. Absolutely amazing https://twitter.com/awfulannouncing/status/1254611298966372352?s=21
  17. The hell are the Packers doing?
  18. Lol, Rodgers has to be so pissed
  19. He looks like he’s always holding in a fart
  20. There was literally a trade in the last 3-5 minutes
  21. I’d pass on QB (or take like Fromm in the 4th) and load up on o-line, defense and WR this year and tank for Lawrence next year. But that’s unlikely to work out perfectly that way.
  22. Pretty sure it would be safer to assume his body is still broken with all the surgeries he’s had and what we know about the toll the NFL takes on guys. Him being washed and still broken is far more likely than him being back to normal Gronk, imo. It’s not like a pitcher coming off TJ who missed a year.
  23. A 4th round pick for a retired guy is a good get The Pats sent a 7th to Tampa as well. So they gave up Gronk to move up 3 rounds. I don’t think that’s a great return. His body is broken and he didn’t even play last year
  24. If I had to do a top 10 I’d go; 1. Sosa 2. Lee 3. Wood 4. Rizzo 5. Bryant 6. Aramis 7. Javy 8. Jake 9. Zobrist 10. Lester
