  1. My expectations for Bryant are nearing Javy levels
  2. [expletive] the Hall of Fame
  3. Don't cancel those season tickets quite yet, SSR! I agree though, good move. He's a fairly solid 4-5 OF depth guy, with potential to be more.
  4. That is the highest open ever. I have to imagine that the Packers and Patriots of a few years back had some pretty big lines, for recent references.
  5. How do you explain situations like the Cleveland Indians where they went from a 90+ loss team one season to a 90+ win without making any major changes other than the manager? They have to be at least part of the reason for that, right? For the record I'm not saying I believe any specific manager will make us 30 wins better but there do seem to be examples where a managerial change makes a big difference. Is it a matter of a bad manager making the team worse as opposed to a good manager making the team better? Ummm.......Because they had a lot of guys have better years on offense and pitching than the year before Indians 2012 offense: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2012&month=0&season1=2012&ind=0&team=5&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0 Indians 2012 pitching: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2012&month=0&season1=2012&ind=0&team=5&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0 Indians 2013 offense: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2013&month=0&season1=2013&ind=0&team=5&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0 Indians 2013 pitching: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2013&month=0&season1=2013&ind=0&team=5&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0
  6. 27 1/2
  7. I can see that, which is fine, usually means the right/smart decision was made.
  8. And that's why you don't sac bunt, with a runner on second with no outs, down 1 run http://moneysmarts.iu.edu/img/j-walter-weatherman
  9. SF over ARI or KC over OAK with a quick look and what you've taken. Indeed a tough week.
  10. So does Mike Smith get fired? Falcons are going into their bye week
  11. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/tumblr_mkarw9qsq21r4rnkdo1_500.gif
  12. Falcons could really have used 3 extra points
  13. Clay Matthews out for a month+ with a broken thumb/surgery
  14. The Bills are starting some guy named Thad Lewis this week at QB
  15. What a [expletive] terrible slide
  16. Nice to see they have finally been able to develop some pitching.....
  17. I have no idea and it sounds stupid but maybe because he'd rather have his best pitcher pitching at home, in a pitcher's park at night (where pitchers tend to fare better at Dodger Stadium)? I know my explanation doesn't make sense, I was just trying to think of some way that it would even begin to be justified. If the Pirates wrap up the other NLDS today, and the Dodgers win tonight, Kershaw wouldn't be available on regular rest until probably game 3, meaning he'd start game 3 and 7 instead of 1, 4 and 7. Yeah doesn't make sense. Is the game 1 start date of the LCS fluid, or is it set no matter the outcome of the LDS series?
  18. Yeah, he's the 5th highest paid player in the league ($21m + change) behind Kobe, Dirk, Melo and Amare. He has the most money guaranteed left on his contract than any of those guys though. The Big-3 FA offseason he actually ended up getting the biggest contract of any FA that offseason.
  19. Remember that game where he had 5 TDs for the stupid Packers? Or when the Seahawks gave him almost $30 million based solely on that one game?
  20. Raiders release Matt Flynn
  21. Does MLB have any sort of Rooney type Rule? Also I think I'm definitely leaning Acta
  22. jesus, another year where injuries kill us. I know every team has injuries, but do they all have to be on one unit? Every one of the Packers edge rushers (Matthews, Perry, Jones) all got hurt yesterday and could all be out a game or more. They also have had all of their RB's hurt more than once this year and in Cin pretty much ran out of RB's in the 4th QTR.
  23. When you have 3 quarterbacks, you have no quarterbacks.
