  1. The players were never going to accept a bubble scenario by the sounds of it when that was talked about for a few days. Plus the two ST sites aren’t exactly able to play a ton of baseball in summer due to weather (extreme AZ heat and Florida rain). Not that they couldn’t have maybe figured out bubbles in 2-3 spots (like LA/SD for west coast, Chicago/Milwaukee for central). But sounded like the players never wanted a bubble.
  2. Watching a lot of different games over the weekend, it seemed like the majority of the players were either in the dugout like normal or the bullpen. Even those 10-15 foot extensions they put on dugouts didn’t look like guys were using it. I didn’t see a single guy on any team go sit in the stands like they said guys would/should.
  3. Seems like at the very least they need to be looking at changing some protocols. Masks should be required in dugouts during games by everyone maybe even in the playing field too, if you aren’t in the game or have come out maybe you can’t sit in the dugout or locker room and need to go sit in the stands x amount of rows/aisles away from next closets, look at limiting time in locker room before and after games, up the testing to daily for the time being (think it’s every 2-3 days now), figure out better ways to respond if guys aren’t feeling well, etc type stuff.
  4. Apologies. I was out golfing this morning and didn’t see this.
  5. I thought Sinclair had rights to some smaller level D1 schools and Marquee was going to be able show those when this all originally was announced.
  6. Sounds pretty much like a regional fox spots channel. From the gambling filler and all. Being in Wisconsin Fox Sports Wisconsin doesn’t do any pre or post show on days the Brewers have a National game, maybe it’s some sort of weird deal they can’t?
  7. He had a really weird year statistically. He only had a 71% contact rate but is at 78% for his career and has two seasons at 81%. So if he can get back to those career numbers he’s a boost to that area of need as well.
  8. You could also add him for Phegly or one of the pen guys like Maples too.
  9. Adding pieces that help keep Descalso and Almora (Dietrich can play RF/LF with Heyward or Happ in CF) off the roster entirely or making it harder for them to get regular playing time is always a move I’ll endorse.
  10. 1 year too late. Should’ve done it last year instead of Descalso’s bum ass.
  11. Yankees-Nats and Dodgers-Giants tonight
  12. There were rumors he had it for a week+ now, iirc. He was away from the team with little explanation when summer camp opened. Kendrick had it too and is back now and I think Robles or another position guy had it as well.
  13. Maples over Tepera is my only real issue
  14. That lineup fucks. And yeah 7/8 will probably be in flux with Bote/Nico/Happ/Kipnis between DH/2B.
  15. My god the hype on this team is insane. The Venn diagram of people betting this and those who bet on Mitch to win MVP that made it the most exposed MVP bet at books is just a circle.
  16. Most of these make no sense to me. Especially because their projections have us winning the division.
  17. I remember generally liking his ML appearances too and the nunbers are promising (1 HR, 21 Ks in 20.1)... Anyone see if Tepera looked good? I wasn't blown away by Winkler, randomly lump them together Was really impressed with Tepera, he was throwing this slider/slurvey pitch. His FB is only 92-94 but apparently that slider/slurve he only uses like 4-9% of the time and they’ve upped the usage. He went 1, 2, 3 on Moncada (or EE), Eloy and Robert. He’s ran ERAs from 2.9-3.6 every year before last year in which he was hurt with decent peripherals. Even if Kimbrel remains an ameba, you can squint and see a Tepera-Jeffress-Wick middle trio being a solid mid-late inning group. Then hopefully someone else from the pile is decent, or Ryan fakes his way again (but 3 batter min and having to face more RHBs has me nervous).
  18. There’s something really intriguing with Norwood if it all comes together. Iirc he’s had issues holding velocity both inside an inning and from outing to outing, he needs to be high 90s to make the mix work and not low-mid.
  19. He looks a little more beefy
  20. Hoping they just went crazy with over correcting the hot gun last night since Kyle hit 93-94 a few times and they under juiced it now. Yu was mostly 92-94 tonight with touching 95, Jeffress was 91-93 (when he’s right he’s 95+ and there in ST) and Kimbrel is just 95-96. That ain’t gonna cut it for Craig.
