  1. Are the Phils going to be trading prospects? Even mid level ones? Shouldn't they be trying to shed payroll? If we don't end up with either Shields or Hamels (for whatever reasons) I'd see if those two for Cliff Lee would work. Phillies would save about $17-18mm this year.

  3. Bryant at 5 is certainly interesting. Who the hell is ahead of him? Buxton, Correa, can't even think of a 3rd?
  4. There it is Hey Theo, http://mrwgifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Gus-Fring-Wants-You-To-Do-It-On-Breaking-Bad.gif
  5. 23-16 seahawks
  6. I don't think that's anything new, MLB still needs to clear him. He' already been cleared by the Government for a while now.
  7. God I wish he was still managing a team in the NL Central
  8. A psycho who kills baseballs
  9. That's how I feel too, though I know it's an impossible dream. Just give him 30 mil a year, who cares when the damn thing ends in three years. Yup and maybe defer/stretch out some of the money over a longer period than the 3 years (like Scherzer). Like sign him to 3/75, pay him ~$20mil a year for 3 years and then ~$3 million a year for the next 5.
  10. Everyday that passes and Shields is still out there I am more and more wanting us to swoop in and sign him to a 3 year deal. Even if the AAV is ridiculous.
  11. They just beat one of the best, if not best, teams in the league 2 nights ago on the road And? This team is just as likely to get wiped out in round 1 by a team like Detroit as it is to beat a team like Cleveland. It's a long season and they are capable of beating the best when focused and rested. Tonight looks like a team coasting/tired on the road playing against a crappy team that will turn it on if they have to in the 4th to pull away. Also they know they are at Phoenix tomorrow, knowing how bad the Lakers are I'm not sure they came into this thing completely focused/interested in playing their hardest.

  13. I think the Giants actually have some decent cap space
  14. I think they'd have to do some pretty creative/crazy things to fit his salary in. Like let both Dez and Demarco walk and re-structure/cut guys.
  15. When are we going to be doing our top 50 (or whatever) list?
  16. That's a bit of an understatement. No kidding, there were only 10 players last year who hit .280 or better and hit 25 or more HR
  17. I mean I guess "above average defensive LF" is relative when you look at some of the slugs who played out there last year, Kemp, Choo, Viciedo, Cruz, Holliday, Moss, Melky, Trumbo, Kubel, Ross, Davis the bar isn't exactly high
  18. I'm a little surprised he ranked Schwarber at all. Also a little weird he has us as the #1 system but none of the pitchers or even 1 of Almora/McKinney/Torres in at least the 75-100 range.
  19. He's probably the best option for the #5 spot. This is a puzzling statement as he's probably the worst option. I like Turner, Wada, and Wood all far better than Jackson. I get all the points against it, I just think that Jackson has one of his good years our of nowhere years where he has some positive regression and performs to his FIP/xFIP numbers the past 2 years. I personally want Turner to get it and turn into something.
  20. He's probably the best option for the #5 spot.
  21. That bar wasn't exactly set high
  22. Covered the spread, too, with the tip in at .6 seconds left
  23. Yes to all this
