That's the reputation. But, he's got 13 errors in only 41 games this year. Not a lot of 3B's that make 50 errors over a big-league season. Villanueva has always been something of a high errors guy, I think. Obviously it's only 1/3/season sample size, and he'll not sustain that rate. But while defense is much about range, making errors still is a factor. Have all of those errors come at 3B? Why do I think they may have been experimenting with him at 2B or the OF?
