I mean i wouldn't mind trying to get Reddick included in a trade for Doolittle, Gray, etc. But I don't see a huge need in just outright getting him.

But again, the Mets are broke and cheap. That's true, and it's good for us. Does a World Series run offset the roughly $10 million in salary you'd owe Braun for 2016? Obviously, it creates issues in 2017 when you still have Granderson under contract. You know Braun is owed like $90 million between this year and like 2021, right?

The Mets have Conforto-Cespedes-Granderson in the OF, why would they trade for Braun? Plus their owners are cheap and/or broke, they wouldn't take on his contract.

Well, yeah. It's why I couldn't give two [expletive] about the run differential. All eyes should be on building for the postseason. The regular season is damned near a foregone conclusion at this point. Also, that thread starter gif might actually be better than today's. Keep it rolling. there is no building for the postseason. Pretty much this, the only "building" you can do in my eyes is trying to do everything you can control in making sure guys are healthy or as close to 100% as they can get by the time the playoffs start. Which, like the playoffs, is largely due to luck and things you can't control.
