I think that's harder than last years catch, being able to stand up on cleats on bare cement/brick is not easy. The tarp is probably easier to get a firmer stance on.

You watched the playoffs last year, right? I love a monster dong as much as the next guy but those 10 pitch ABs just do something for me. Especially coming from the likes of Jorge Soler. Pretty sure he had a few of those along wit the dongs in the playoffs

His BABIP has to be absurd to carry a line like that with a 34% K rate and what has to be a decent BB% rate with an OBP 130 points higher than his average. -

Relief pitchers and bullpens are historically finicky, fickle amoebas of performance and results. It's the hardest thing to build and keep consistent. I'm not saying Smith is good or was a good acquisition, just that he just as easily could have given us multiple innings of no runs and few base runners instead of being a dumpster fire.

Not really, these are almost like Iowa rehab appearances for him since he never formally went to the DL/rehabbed. There's kinks he has to work out I'm sure.
