    They’ve been bad at velocity since 2017-2018 when it took off. Especially elevated FBs. Most teams are probably “bad” against velo but the cubs are worse than most. the stat on the broadcast showed cubs at .191 ba (eyeroll) vs 95+ with league at .242 60 games though, they probably aren’t “that” bad. They’re still average to below but not .050 points off pace.

    It's a thing this year, but I don't think its something theyve been bad at in the past, other than difficulty with velocity. They could feast on 91-95 but when we faced pitchers throwing 97+ we struggled. They’ve been bad at velocity since 2017-2018 when it took off. Especially elevated FBs.     Won’t one of Mills/Q/Adbert have to start DS Game 1 anyways with the off days? Thought there’s only 1 day off in between series (so they start Sunday?) Hendricks would be on short rest then. I thought the LDS started on Tuesday or Wednesday. They need a few days to get to the bubble and get tested before playing. Edit: NLDS starts Tuesday, goes until Saturday. Got it. Don’t know why I thought there was just a single off day before, must have misheard or misunderstood something and also why I didn’t really care about the Yu/Kyle order because both were starting this round regardless and I thought with days off they’d only get 1 DS start anyways on normal rest. Sucks with the postponement today Yu can’t go Game 1 now and potentially get two starts because I’d want him getting 2 starts over Hendricks if we aren’t in Wrigley.

    Yes but hypothetically Saturday is Kyle's bullpen day if we need to give him 20 pitches. That would put our rotation in disarray and have someone like Mills or Quintana starting game 1, but most likely everyone is pitching once in a 5 game series with no off days anyways.     Who is the bench coach right now? He needs a "young and brilliant but not quite ready to manage" type guy in there Andy Green, who either is also a moron or Ross doesn’t listen to. Borzello seems to have some sort of input too.

    He’s a complete moron with in game decisions, like an alarmingly bad moron. But he’s probably good with the in house stuff. He literally needs an in game coordinator to be making decisions for him if he’s staying around. I don’t think he’s ever gonna get it.

    Things I believe. David Ross is a moron, the offense has been bad and inconsistent (it’s not “this” bad), Yu Darvish is gonna horsefeathers tomorrow and we are getting a Game 3 and BDJ will do well enough for them to win the series.

    2015-2017 had to be pretty decent, I’d assume. At least in regards to how offenses do in the playoffs.

    That is your take away from this? 6 scoreless innings from Hendricks wasn't good enough? They are both starting a game one way or another. yu may have pitched 7 scoreless, because he is better. also doesn't yu starting game 2 mean he wouldn't have been able to start the nlds until game 2? it doesn't really matter, but there was absolutely no reason for it. it's a stupid ass galaxy brain move by ross. if you have a cy young winner and he's rested and healthy, you start him first. This is dumb. Going with Hendricks was fine. He was on 7 day’s rest already too. Yu gets an extra day of rest going tomorrow. Hendricks has an awesome playoff resume and pitching in Wrigley. The Game 1/2 starters of this series can’t go until Game 2/3 of the DS if they’re on normal rest. So that really isn’t a huge deal. They’re only getting 1 DS start anyways. This is on the offense and Ross being a moron letting Hendricks out there in the 7th, imo.
