  1. At least we didn’t extend Happ like the Cardinals did with DeJong
  2. Seems like Wainwright would’ve been a good matchup to get Almora in there tonight vs a RHP. I mean just about anyone is better than Happ but the profile of RHP Almora seems to struggle with is not what’s Wainwright is.
  3. If the strategy tonight is to long con the Cardinals in to thinking Wainwright is still good so they give him 25-30 starts this year, the offense is doing a bang up job. Sternsian level 4D chess thinking.
  4. I’m guessing he didn’t want to run full speed in to a brick wall
  5. Willy, dude. Stop coming out of the crouch so early on balls in the zone. You’re going to fool the umpire
  6. Strike 1 and Ball 1 to Pham were literally the same pitch
  7. He has very little upside because learning command is nearly impossible. But I will agree he's much better than watching Lackey. I just wish we'd skip him like a normal team skips their 5th starter so I don't have to be subjected to his [expletive] more than I have to be. He has a career 3.28 ERA in over 300 innings when he’s not pitching in Coors. He’s perfectly fine and has plenty of upside. The Cardinals aren’t skipping their 5th starter tonight and he’s an actual bum.
  8. Should be only a matter of time until we jump on this dick baller
  9. Wainwright is an absolutely garbage pitcher at this point of his career
  10. His first inning his last start was basically the same thing/as impressive
  11. Yeah I’m fine with it and the overall 162 game set up too. Just saying it seems making playoff series longer would be something to do if they take away regular season games to make up revenue
  12. Adding playoff teams is bad for us. That’s true. Make the WC game best of 3 then, then the DS best of 7.
  13. It was the right move to let him go but damn I still wish we had Dexter.
  14. Rizzo wants fewer games, I agree. Shorten the season by ~20 games and add additional playoff teams/rounds and start the year 1-2 weeks later. [tweet] [/tweet]
  15. I had no idea about the YouTube thing having any MLB affiliation, first I've seen that. I'd guess you'd have to subscribe to their service to get it.
  16. That's easily the best lineup we can throw out there right now, I like it.
  17. I think I heard that most of the 11 threes he’s taken this year have been end of the quarter half court heaves. He’s not even taking many end of the shot clock threes. Yeah he hasn't taken many but still so odd that a PG literally hasn't made one, you'd think the situation would find him on a clock running down situation or just a ball being rotated back or kicked out to him that he'd be wide open to take one and one would fall.
  18. They are 7th worst in RD right now (-19), they probably should have 2+ more losses. They also have the 2nd lowest BB% and a top 10 highest K% as a team on offense and their pitching has been about as bad as expected.
  19. The VB's and the VP's both lost tonight, winning the division still might be a possibility
  20. Christian Villanueva just hit his 6th HR, WTF
  21. How hard would it even be to get under the LT in 2 years after Zobrist, Morrow and Lester are all off the books, that’s over $50 million between the 3? Hopefully we just suck it up and take the LT hit the next 2 years and get under/reset the year after that.
  22. I saw a crazy note on Twitter today. Ben Simmons has not made a 3 pointer in a game since High School/AAU. Didn’t make one at LSU and hasn’t made one in the NBA. That seems impossible for a guy who has the ball in his hands so often, you'd think he would've had to shoot and make one with the shot clock running down or something playing point guard.
