  1. They've still had to go out and win the games, but yeah they've gotten a little lucky with a softish schedule and catching teams at the right time. They've caught the D'backs at what's probably the best time to get them all year with their injuries. They still are going to finish closer to 85 than 90 wins but it's going to be annoying having them hang around all year again.
  2. The Brewers are never going to lose again, maybe time to consider being sellers at the deadline to extend the window
  3. I think I figured out the problem, I had Chatwood in a fantasy league (I know stupid me for still having him). I just dropped him on the spot and didn't even pick anyone up. So we should be good to go and firing on all cylinders to not walk the world the rest of the year.
  4. Yeah same, I’m incredibly annoyed but have some reason to believe this silly historic walk nonsense will go away a bit. His stuff seems mostly fine too, not like his velo or movement is down and he’s wild. Literally just need the guy to go walking like 4.5 guys per 9. Theo right now while you nerds are still trying to rationalize this debacle: I just feel bad for the interns he’s probably forcing to binge eat/drink, throw things at and hit golf balls at
  5. damn i'm not even somewhat close to that not even brian schlitter hate levels Yeah same, I’m incredibly annoyed but have some reason to believe this silly historic walk nonsense will go away a bit. 6. Javy’s swung at like 6 balls in the left handed batters box tonight
  7. He found a new way to show us how truly slow he is by trying to go to 2B on a ball he hit hardish to shallow RCF and was thrown out by 10+ feet. Bryant, Heyward, and Happ with their speed or Javy with his sliding wizardry might get there on that ball but that’s about it on this team. It was a nice piece of hitting though.
  8. Who’s our position player pitcher? At least we could have some fun there tonight
  9. Yeah Machado at SS scares me, defensively. He’s been awful there. It’s also more likely Russell does something on defense in the playoffs that Machado just can’t do that helps us win than it is Machado is “that” much better of a hitter vs Russell in the playoffs.
  10. Russell has gotten fucked by some calls at the plate tonight
  11. Come on Javy. Joe should almost pull him mid at bat for that
  12. Don’t know how that ball, or Schwarber’s earlier, didn’t get out
  13. If (when) we lose this game we’d be .500 vs .500+ teams this year if you are counting this as a loss vs .500+. That’s mostly, perfectly, fine to do. Clapp was talking about this on twitter last night. Astros were only 3 over vs .500+ last year, 16 Cubs were 6ish over, one of the even year Giants teams weren’t even .500 vs them, and another WS team recently was only 3ish over.
  14. It would be shocking that he could get back to his normal terrible control, more in line with his most recent two seasons? I don't think it would be shocking. Dude has to figure it out, of course. He's had one season where his BB% was under double digits and he has never ever been above average as a major leaguer. That’s all we really are asking for though. A return to his high 3s/mid 4s BB/9 numbers. That already higher walk totals should’ve been the baseline with hoping for some improvements, not this nonsense
  15. With the off day Thursday, if they don’t feel the other SPs need extra rest. they could just skip Chatwood’s start this next time through to try and give him a “reset” and he’d have like 8 days off until his next turn up and the other starters would just be on normal rest.
  16. horsefeathers this guy, skip his next start and give it to Monty
