    I looked it up just because I was curious and not trying to make any point, but him and Javy have the same fWAR. That is surprising. OBP is a hell of a drug. Also, Javy has 9 errors already, so Addy's got a pretty decent defensive edge thus far. Yeah Addy’s defense is mostly carrying his WAR and Javy’s power has carried his. It would be nice if we could just give Addy, Javy’s power. And it’s more than errors for Javy on defense, Russell is just way, way better than him by every metric.

    We're gonna end up doing something like Russell, Heyward and some combo of Monty, Caritini, Alzolay, Bote, etc to SD for Hand and them paying some chunk of Heyward's contract and then we are going sign Machado and Harper this offseason.

    That's right. The O's are going to trade Machado to us for Bote and Caratini and Butler /what fans actually think Whatever he goes for probably comes a lot closer to that than Russell, Monty, Alzolay and other stuff.

    Braves, Rangers, Giants or Padres would be my guesses as landing spots. Braves have done salary deals before and it’s his hometown, Rangers seem to always be looking to do something, Giants always need outfielders and his defense in that park would be good and they have money/lose some guys this year and I believe his wife or fiancé is from the area and they love to play shitty offensive players, and Padres should have money and would maybe do something.

    It might be too soon but I brought up if there were any bat only college guys this year for a future Rizzo replacement (maybe that’s too soon) earlier in the thread and Beer was brought up and I like what I saw when I did a little digging. I know bro -- I was the one that mentioned Seth Beer to you lol. Yeah, he's definitely intriguing but we don't need to worry about a Rizzo replacement already. Rizzo will bounce back and I think he'll be good for many years to come. If the bat is “that” good, which Beer seems to be idk if it’s overly soon especially since we won’t have picks like this for quite some time. But yeah in general it is a little soon. And I’m not worried about a Rizzo replacement while he’s under contract or think he’ll suck at all during the duration of it. But he’s only here for 3 years after this and I’m not wild about paying him big money once he hits free agency at age 32 or whatever he’ll be. It would be nice to find cheap production at 1B when the time comes to replace him.

    Thanks for the responses. I won't pretend to scout the stat line, but the stat line is something. Oh for sure. His stats are very impressive and I like his swing actually. It's just you're not getting any value on defense from him so the bat has to be pretty special.
