I was fine being aggressive there. Ozuna has a horsefeathers arm and wasn’t even set with the wind playing games. Tommy would’ve been IBB and Chatwood up with 2 outs. Probably higher odds of a bounced/offline throw there and Javy scoring than Chatwood getting a hit. We can agree to disagree. But did you epect Chatwood to actually hit in that spot if they walked LeStella? Most likely. PC was in great shape to go 7+ and being a DH I think it makes sense with 2 outs. If it was 0 or 1 out in that spot then I’d PH. But I think he gets the AB there. -

This guy horsefeathers Roederer has gotten on base in all 11 games of his pro career leading to a current OBP of exactly .500. Of those 11 games, 5 have been multi-hit affairs with a pattern of one every other game during his current 9 game hitting streak. .395/.500/.698 with more walks (9) than strikeouts (7). Yeah something is going on there. It might be completely legal and they’ve “hacked” pitching in which case good for them, but it also might not be.

I remember the Indians having some crazy comeback in the 90s or early 2000s. Idk if 15 runs big but I swear they scored like 12 in the 9th or something.

In the AL maybe, but the NL nobody hits close to as well as us. The pitching still will be mostly fine (plus just get another bullpen arm and we can bullpen it most playoff games) but I’m all for adding another dude depending on cost. The goal is to win the whole thing. We’re in as good a spot as anyone in the NL to get there. I’m not going to worry about the AL in July. Theo will make another move or two and some (hopefully all) of the rotation guys will figure out and be fine.

DFA Duensing, he’s trash and never should’ve been given that contract. We got lucky with him last year being so good and the goal should’ve been to try and find a new Duensing for this year, not double down.

The problem we have is that the teams we will compete with in the playoffs can hit as well as us. Never trade Bote. He’s actually good, send Seal Boy back to the shore. Also Archer kinda sucks. I’d rather just go get like Clayton Richard than pay the price on Archer.
