    Other than his March/April he’s been complete garbage. He’s hit over .200 (like .208) in 1 of the last 3 months and was sub .200 the other 2. OPS under .600 in 2 of the 3 months and the one move over was like .640.

    He’s been kinda ass vs LHP this year and last year (I know it was a wrist deal last year). Heyward has a better OPS, wOBA and wRC+ vs lefties than Zobrist this year.

    If he’s throwing well and comes back say August 17th or whatever I don’t know if it says terrible things about our current pitchers. He’d be replacing Duensing or Chatwood most likely and they suck and Duensing can be cut or either could be phantomed DL’d

    Man, how is that even possible? If anything, I remember him as being even worse than he was. It made me so mad that Dusty kept him in the rotation all year. estes gave up 4 or more runs in 14 of his 29 starts as a cub. he walked 83 in those 29 starts. to compare, chatwood has given up 4 or more runs in 7 of his 19 starts and walked 85 in those 19 starts. estes had a bWAR of -1.3 in 2003 while chatwood has a current bWAR of 0.3. are estes and chatwood the worst cub starters of the past 20-25 years? Brian Matuz, Tseng and Farrell are all high for me because they were bad when we were trying/actually good. A good part of the last 20+ years we were just inept so I can’t blame people bad at their jobs for giving us a bad pitcher.

    Keep them all and rotate them (or trade one for an area of need). The real answer is hope Happ and Bote can play CF and send Almora away.

    They seem to be taking it extra careful with Morrow, he isn’t even throwing yet. So he might not be back until rosters expand. Hopefully it’s sooner and everyone else is healthy so they can just cut Duensing or phantom DL him or Chatwood. Dude, just phantom DL both of them right now. They're useless... I really don’t think any of the AAA shuttle guys are better, or at least clearly better. Keep the “depth.” Hopefully Smyly, Morrow and Yu are back soon enough. That’s when they can be cut/DL’d.

    Yeah but Randy was getting by on smoke and mirrors and I don’t know if he’s really better than Duensing. This also helps the “depth” and let’s Randy throw more regularly to hopefully fine tune things to become a real thing instead of a guy waiting to blow up because he was getting lucky. Duensing is the last guy in the pen anyways.

    Yup. I wouldn’t mind Happ a touch higher just because he has like a .400 OBP vs RHP lately and is seeing the ball well but yeah that should be the lineup. Definitely no Almora, you could talk me in to Russell over Bote just for defense and the RHP numbers but Bote needs to play damn it.
