    We seem to suck at shifting this year. No data to back it up but we see to shift wrong often. Maybe because our SP sucks more than usual and is out of whack

    Enough to still be the best offense in baseball when excluding pitchers? It's absurd how much you guys complain about the lack of home runs and try to diminish the quality ABs our batsmen bring to the field every day. This offense is awesome and you all should stfu about it. I was mostly being facetious but also funny a post of mine gets this reaction after being mr positive forever......

    It's pretty crazy, obviously he may have some sort of info that's informing these decisions (whether it's numbers or knowing a guy is banged up or whatever) but this all just seems like he's going completely by feel and his own thoughts. The lineup tonight should've been. Zobrist LF/RF Javy 2B Rizzo 1B Willy C Schwarber DH Happ CF/LF Heyward RF/CF Bote 3B Russell SS or something like that, definitely those are the 9 guys that should be in.

    Junis has given up a Dong in 13 of 20 starts this year including 3HRs in a game 4 times and 5, FIVE, HRs in a game another time and also has given up more Dongs than any player on our team has hit (26). I guess my point is, how many opposite field singles do we hit today?

    Fun fact: Rich Harden's 71 IP with the Cubs in 2008 that we remember as being so dominant is more or less Yu's career numbers over 800 more innings from a Ks, BBs, FIP standpoint. In short, I like Yu Darvish and hope he's healthy soon. I remember him being good but could only go 5-6 innings max. So basically he'd be our ace this year. Harden would fit in so well with the staff this year with his inefficiency and only being able to go 5-6 innings but somehow giving up 3-4 runs or less most of the time.

    So a lot of the hats and shirts guys were wearing for “be like Strop day” are actually from his own brand/clothing line. I had no idea he had that and it’s cool it was kinda an overall celebration of a guy who doesn’t seem to ever get the credit for how good he is (he’s a top 3-5 Cubs RP of all time) and also being a great teammate from some stuff that came out this week. https://believebystrop.com

    The Royals are literally the only team worse than....the Padres. Maybe we’ll escape the series with a positive RD for the series, still probably lose 2 of 3
