  1. Only if it’s irrevocable waivers the claiming team is forced to take. If it’s revocable both teams can decide not to do anything. Is that new? It didn't used to be that way. Teams have gotten stuck with guys before. Only if they claim a guy on irrevocable are they “stuck” with him. Revocable both sides can always decide not to do a deal, like the Brewers could’ve claimed Murphy to prevent him from getting to us and just said “no thanks, we won’t do a deal” and that’s that.
  2. I swear Happ’s two balls to LF were hit harder than that

  4. LaStella isn’t any better than Murphy. For now it probably should be Zobrist (who’s better but still not great).
  5. Cishek, Carl and Wilson didn’t have to throw like any pitches. At least.
  6. Strasburg may have died tonight, again. Velo way down and lots of hits and runs given up.
  7. I thought Javy was going to be there off the bat. Must have been shifted or hit harder than it appeared.
  8. Someone claimed Hamilton. Hopefully the trade happens by tomorrow so we don’t have to face that gremlin and see him post a 1.000 OPS vs us this weekend
  9. I could see it being us
  10. Willy is so bad right now. Great job getting a decent backup catcher, Theo that could maybe allow him a day or three off here to hit the reset button.
  11. I had the ability to see Trout in Milwaukee a few years ago when the Angels visited. I’m gonna try and get down to Wrigley to see him next year, he’s so fun to watch in person. The ball just comes off his bat different. If anyone has the ability to see him play ever I’d highly recommend it.
  12. I could see the idiots running the Orioles not dealing with us after the Jake/Strop trade even if we had the best offer. They seem dumb enough to operate that way.
  13. Gotta be what, 4th best on the team in that span?
  14. If the cubs could figure a way to win 8 of 10 they could end this. Yeah, it’s annoying. Been hoping for that (or similar run, 13 of 16 or 17, etc) all year
  15. Winning 23 of 34 like the cardinals have sounds fun. We should look in to doing that to finish the year
  16. Time for Ole’ Duker to do a post on why the Cardinals are definitely the best team in the NL And are destined to win the division
  17. If he doesn’t have a surgery I’d say I’m fairly confident he can contribute in the rotation in some capacity. Don’t know how good he’ll be, but I think he’ll provide value.
