    His AA numbers suck but like others have said there’s some pedigree. Get him in to take a look and I would think we will try and sneak him back through waivers to get him off the 40-man at some point and if he clears, great maybe he’s a relief prospect and if some other team claims him so what.

    We lost that Rowengardner dude we claimed from the Mets last month to the Rangers. 40-man now at 38.

    what ??? Amazon, Blackstone, KKR, Apollo and others bidding on RSN’s and the MLB TV deal last week has me thinking our TV deal isn’t in trouble of bringing in tons of cash (like some writers have guessed). Call me crazy for taking that stance with these two pieces of news.

    If all those companies are in on bidding for RSN’s I have a hard time believing our TV Deal is falling short of what we were projecting we could get that could allegedly be the reason we are crying poor all the sudden. And if our projections aren’t matching the reality of what we can get I’d blame it on us over estimating internally more than the market falling apart with this news and the new MLB TV deal news last week.

    He did look like he was cringing a decent amount when he took that hit on that slide last night. I thought it might have been his ribs or wind knocked out of him but I could see that hit being the one that screwed something up in the shoulder.

    Now that the Mariners sell off is official hopefully we can go get Pazos and dump at least one of Kintzler/Duensing/Chatwood’s contract there

    2/10 for Suzuki seems a bit rich for a not quite full time starting C but better than a backup C type guy who’s 35 and even though he’s had two back to back 2 WAR years he pretty much netted 0 WAR the previous 2 years before that and has more sub 1 WAR seasons the last 7 years than over 1 WAR years. He’s also not considered especially good defensively/framing, iirc.

    I don’t disagree they could do much better if they went more prospect centric, but if they’re looking for a trade that lets them stay as good/competitive with major league pieces for the next 2-4 years in their current window I think we’re near the top with that rough Q and Schwarber/Happ offer along with a minor league piece. Like the Braves could offer up some of their young pitchers who aren’t known and Carmago? That’s maybe more upside but also maybe doesn’t make them as good for the next ~2 years as those pitchers may need more time.

    Yeah I posted basically this in the Sports Media thread when Jersey posted a similar tweet. Has to be good news for us with whatever we are trying to negotiate/structure with our new deal.

    Yeah I don’t think we are anywhere near a full time team there. Maybe a random series or 3 moved there during the year or like doing this Japan Series thing there in the offseason, but I don’t think we are close to a full time team working there.
