The HOF is already broken and overseen by self-righteous pricks. From a “history of the game” perspective Yadi belongs in and so do a lot of guys who haven’t gotten in or won’t and I lean towards the HOF being more a history of the game/museum thing at this point than some sort of keeper of telling us who was good or not. If it was performance based I’d say he doesn’t belong.

Sounds like he’s out until Thursday “at the earliest.” Willy caught a bullpen session today and Zobrist is done playing in the minors and is just doing drill work until September 1, so that’s good news on the latter stuff.

The Cardinals do only have 1-2 off days and a double header in there, so hopefully that makes an easy schedule not as easy as it should be.

It would make total sense to win or sweep that series vs those pitchers after the seasons road struggles -

Didn’t that Lambert guy from Colorado beat us twice We are literally the only team he’s had good starts against. 12 innings and 1ER vs us, 54 innings and 47ER vs everyone else. He horsefeathering sucks.

I realize you are talking about this most recent hot stretch of offense, but the Nats have been on a heater for a while. They are 52-26 since their horsefeathers start. ETA: Which is even crazier considering their craptastic bullpen. Yeah, I was surprised when he seemed to be earlier trying to boil it down like they have only just gotten good recently. They've been playing at something like a 105+ win pace for a long time. Oh I’m not trying to dismiss them, I think they’re the best team in the East. They’ve been good for a while, the offense has been especially ridiculous for 2 weeks though.
