  1. No but I have to imagine it was fair. There is literally no room in foul territory in that part of the park. As long as hit hit the ground it has to be a fair ball (obviously side wall is foul).
  2. We need at least 3-5 more runs for me to feel comfortable about this one
  3. [expletive], way to do Dempster. Walking guys in front of Braun and Fielder
  4. UGH, just flip it over the plate there and make Edmonds do something with it. Don't give Braun/Fielder opportunities with RISP.
  5. Yeah that doesn't sound too bad at worst maybe he misses 2 games with the off day tomorrow. I would expect him to be in the lineup by Thursday though.
  6. FSN just showed Lee's two ab's where he came out of the box in pain. It looks like it's either his right hand or right side/abdomen.
  7. Wow, Soriano has hit the ball really hard his last two ab's.
  8. Yeah he looked like he was in pain after that ab. RAMI BOMB!!!! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
  9. Cubs have done a pretty good job of running the pitch count up early on opposing SP so far this year.
  10. Way to limit the damage Dempster. LOL at Brewer fans thinking Zaun was a significant upgrade over Kendall
  11. Baker BOMB!!! Wouldn't be opposed to Baker getting more starts at 2B against RHP.
  12. Hey Aramis anytime you want to start cutting down your swing when you are behind in the count would be great.
  13. So you don't think they've been patient this year? I know it's early (so sample size issues) but I think going into to yesterdays game the Cubs have been seeing more pitches per plate appearance than any of the last 3-4 years (08' included) and that was before the 7 walk outing by Leake yesterday. Taking BB and seeing pitches doesn't seem to be an issue with the offense this year, so far...
  14. Hopefully that gets Soto [expletive] going.
  15. So I noticed Jeff Gray has 3IP at Iowa so far this year (meaning he's over his injury), how long until he gets called up? As he seemed like a pretty solid lock to make the bullpen out of ST before the injury.
  16. Yeah I thought he was going to be our 2B of the future when we drafted him. I really liked that pick.
  17. We should be OK with this as long as Lilly is back by the end of May and healthy/back to form by the middle/end of June and for the entire second half.
  18. I am concerned that for no apparent reason Lou replaced Soto with Hill. Soto isn't a liability defensively, maybe Soto got a minor injury or wasn't feeling well but if not it appears Lou has no faith or confidence in him anymore.
  19. W Marmol was absolutely marvelous today. Get a win tomorrow and the last 4 games won't look so bad.
  20. Yeah Aramis had the great opening day but hasn't done much since. Yeah he has hit some balls hard, primarily to RF, but hasn't done much. Did Lee have a bet with someone that he could get a stolen base today or something?
  21. Earn that extension! The Brewers have given up 23 runs in 37 innings this year. Yeah their starting rotation is marginally better than last years, IMO. I wasn't buying them as a team that would take a big step forward based on their "revamped" rotation. That being said we will probably score 4 runs off them in the 3 game home stand against them this week.
  22. In other news Yovanni Gallardo is doin his best Zambrano opening day impressions. 0 outs recorded 4 runs already after a Molina 3R HR.
