No but I have to imagine it was fair. There is literally no room in foul territory in that part of the park. As long as hit hit the ground it has to be a fair ball (obviously side wall is foul).
So you don't think they've been patient this year? I know it's early (so sample size issues) but I think going into to yesterdays game the Cubs have been seeing more pitches per plate appearance than any of the last 3-4 years (08' included) and that was before the 7 walk outing by Leake yesterday. Taking BB and seeing pitches doesn't seem to be an issue with the offense this year, so far...
So I noticed Jeff Gray has 3IP at Iowa so far this year (meaning he's over his injury), how long until he gets called up? As he seemed like a pretty solid lock to make the bullpen out of ST before the injury.
We should be OK with this as long as Lilly is back by the end of May and healthy/back to form by the middle/end of June and for the entire second half.
I am concerned that for no apparent reason Lou replaced Soto with Hill. Soto isn't a liability defensively, maybe Soto got a minor injury or wasn't feeling well but if not it appears Lou has no faith or confidence in him anymore.
Yeah Aramis had the great opening day but hasn't done much since. Yeah he has hit some balls hard, primarily to RF, but hasn't done much. Did Lee have a bet with someone that he could get a stolen base today or something?
Earn that extension! The Brewers have given up 23 runs in 37 innings this year. Yeah their starting rotation is marginally better than last years, IMO. I wasn't buying them as a team that would take a big step forward based on their "revamped" rotation. That being said we will probably score 4 runs off them in the 3 game home stand against them this week.
