  1. So if you replace a bad QB with one of the best three in the NFL and the RB has a slight increase in YPC (from 4.8 to 4.9)... What's the conclusion? They're throwing way more and he increased his YPC by 2% from his career low
  2. His YPC by game, in order: 7.2, 6.1, 4.5, 2.2, 4.5, 6.5, 3.8, 3.9, 7.4, 3.4, 3.4. He's doing this with one of the top few pass offenses in the league for a team that has been in the lead for almost all of the time in almost every game. He's good, but he's not "win games by himeslf- Barry Sanders" good, at least not the large majority of the time. Maybe not this year, but that is because the Vikes are throwing the ball a lot more. But I am confident that Peterson could take over any game whenever he wants to. I'm not certain as to how low YPC numbers can be the result of infrequent runs. Infrequent runs should raise YPC numbers
  3. But it is sooooooooo much easier to replace a RB than an entire bad, old offensive line. Even without a 1/2 round pick next year the Bears might be able to find a decent one. The Bears could blow all of their picks over the next two years trying to get 5 new offensive linemen and still not get a good group.

  5. While spending several minutes fellating Oher for being a useful rookie whose life was made into a movie, he jumps for an uncalled false start, which they call "getting off the ball quickly" ](*,)
  6. I'd Take Peterson. The Vikings have great lines, but Peterson is a cut above them. Peterson has 3 100 yard games this season, against the Browns, Lions, and (!) Ravens. Forte could be putting up numbers similar to what Peterson has done this season with the Vikings O-line (which probably says a lot about how teams have gotten burned trying to stop him instead of the passing game, but still). Improving the O-line tremendously improves the passing game and the rushing game. edit: I'd have to put D-line way behind O-line because the Bears are so bad at so many defensive positions. It's not even the worst part of the defense
  7. Air it out, go for 600 yards
  8. The Bears are screwed. They need too much and don't have the draft picks for it. They'll have to get really lucky to be good in the next few years
  9. the Bears have only been outscored by 45 points? How is that possible
  10. Jacksonville has 400 yards of offense and 3 points with only two turnovers
  11. I like hearing "Orlando Pace is questionable."
  12. Yeah, and they've got plenty of time to decide whether or not it touched. Wouldn't help Lovie, though
  13. hard to believe that ball got in there
  14. :banghead:
  15. Another terrible pass idea, but it worked out
  16. I was in the process of posting "wow, Lovie didn't challenge that, maybe he learned something" and that happened
  17. Lovie smith, you are a moron how can he be this bad at challenges?
  18. oh god damn it
  19. Cutler's had his accuracy today. Too bad he has to get rid of the ball before our receivers are more than 5 yards down field.
  20. First down!
  21. Hey, they kept them from scoring in the first quarter. Who would have expected the defense to hold for that long?
  22. Tackle through the ref!
  23. No, no it wasn't. He didn't get there. he didn't get there, but he was really close.
