Pretty sure the schedule was out before the Wrigley renovations got pushed back. Pretty random game to have in primetime though. Even as a Cubs fan, I'd probably rather see KC/St Louis At the beginning of the season ESPN had only nailed down the first 4 or 5 games of the season. The renovation schedule was already known at the time this game was selected. However, I still doubt the RF bleachers being finished had anything to do with this selection. As has been said, a competitive Cubs team is a big draw. Also, a competitive team where people have problems getting to watch them everyday (due to the TV situation) is a big draw. That's why the Dodgers were on SNB so often last summer.

Man, getting to Cueto a little bit. Pitch count is high enough we will probably get to their bullpen before too long, but the deficit may be large. -

So, twice in less than 2 weeks that he runs on some of the best arms in the world (Gordon, Cespedes) on a shallow pickup in LF.

It would be nice to at least get the pitch count up if we're not going to score off Sanchez. Their bullpen is garbage.

The next time the Cubs or Astros have a top 10 pick will be due to: A. Finishing with a bottom 10 record. B. Draft picks become tradeable and they trade for one. C. They will never pick in the top 10 again. -

That's a huge doubleplay. Hammel was having trouble. That keeps the pitch count down. Hopefully he settles back down and can go at least 8.

your boy castro hit a double with 2 outs and coghlan had a single to knock him in. that last at bat castro is the good castro. he needs to do that more often and stop trying to hit home runs. Wait, I thought you didn't watch from 2008/09-2014. How do you know what the good Castro looks like?

I kid, I kid That said So just compare this here Addison Russell AAA .OPS .803 -->> MLB .OPS -- >> .731 Kris Bryant AAA .OPS 1.042 -->> MLB .OPS -->> .841 Javy Baez AAA .OPS .914 -->> MLB .OPS -->> ???? if you take the average drop in OPS for Addison and KB it would be about - .136 I honestly think he can perform as good as Addison but anyways he should be able to put up an OPS of around .770 for this team that would be huge.. that would make him about 5th best on the team.. Ummmmmmm...

I don't think the Nationals made any argument other than the runner who got picked off. he looked out by a mile live, so he probably looked out from the dugout as well.
