    They have extended the combo packs (nights, Saturdays, Sundays, Opening Day, Memorial Day or Labor Day - 57 games this year) to all of the seating sections besides Club Box IF, Club Box OF, Field Box IF and Field Box OF. I think it's a much better value. Only down side is you only get tickets to two games in each postseason series instead of 3 or 4. You can always upgrade to the full 81, but again subject to availability.

    When your number gets called (off the wait list), how does it work? Do you get to choose how many you want to buy? Last year I had the option to buy 1-6. Since I don't live in Chicago currently and they suck I asked If I bought 2 now if I could increase that total later. They said it would depend on how many people do not renew. I would get the chance to increase the total to 3-6 before they would extend offers to others on the wait list. Do you recall what the pricing was like in terms of what tickets were actually available to the new people? You can PM me if you'd prefer. I got a spreadsheet of the costs this season. I did it so I could keep a record each year of past prices. I'll find a way to get it to you this afternoon. The only thing available my first year was Upper Deck Box OF and Bleachers.

    We're going to the select-a-seat this year. We had the bleachers combo pack last year. I bet we do the same thing, but I just want to have an idea of what is available to me. If people are dropping like flies and they took those seats from the scalpers there might be something better.

    Did anybody else notice in the third inning when Buck gave a detailed batter-by-batter rundown of what had happened earlier in the inning and then McCarver repeated everything that Buck had just said?

    Not real sure where to put this, but the Cubs are asking season ticket holders for input on game times. Here's the email: It then asks how many Saturday night games do you want (1-13) and asks for why you want 3:05 Friday starts and Saturday night games.

    It seems to me that teams that had the approach of spending big in the international FA market before the new CBA will pick and choose seasons that they will and will not go over budget, trying to maximize the years they go over knowing they will take themselves out of the running for the best prospects the following season. I wonder if we'll see years where there are 3 or 4 highly coveted international FA and one team decides that getting them all is worth the penalties. Once you are limiting yourself to the $250k per player, and money isn't an issue, I don't see what would keep teams from doing it.

    they recently received a threatening phone call from a real mean sounding guy and have heightened security around theo's kneecaps i heard they have a bunch of third notices and one fourth notice that says "we break thumbs" Well, I guess we're screwed then.
