    That certainly doesn't make it seem like any deal is imminent. I don't see any reason for the Cubs to abandon their process and select a winner while the season is going on. It wouldn't be the first time old news was regurgitated and passed off as an "update" in this whole process. True, but this doesnt seem to be old news and the presentations could have already took place. The article says the final bidding will take place in October after thep presentations, so seems as if presentations are supposed to start about now. Plus I wouldnt see Zell just stopping everything and accepting a bid now without the presentations and final bidding. You would think the final bidding will have higher bids and increase the chance for the price to increase.

    Eric Karros? pretty sure there was a regular dude who did a documentary following the team that entire year. white kid, black hair. can't remember much else. Wasn't he the guy who ran onto the field a while back to attack a player?     Tims dad will probably be the first out there to blame the manager too, didnt Priors dad do the same thing? He touted his son as the perfect pitcher, the uninjurable and then he later criticized the Cubs care for his arm..

    Well now the trick is on us! We have just been Yosted.. its unfortunate we may not be facing a Yost coached team in the division next year. To be fair I think the Brewers are going to hover around .500 or worse next year no matter who there manager is so hopefully Nedly will just move on and ruin the Cardinals, or Astros while Dusty holds the reins in Cincy...

    By one team? By my count going from Kerry Wood in the 9th against the Cardinals on Thursday, through all 27 outs of Z on Sunday, to the first 18 by Lilly on Monday thats 46 straight outs without a hit the Cubs pitched? Also if you caught walks, hbp, errors, its probably around 50+ straight batters faced without a hit.

    I'd love for them to clinch at home but it sure would be sweet to take care of business against the Astros today then sweep away the Brewers and clinch on their field... and knock them a few games down in the Wild Card..

    Z's no hitter! Soriano going absolutely crazy for that week in mid may, I was at one of his 2 HR games against the Pirates. The Colorado comeback.. Lee & Rammy going back to back against the Sox.. The 9 run inning against the Sox.. Dempster throwing a gem on the sunday night game against the Sox.. Zambrano, Dempster, and Marmol (turning his season around) pitching lights out in the All Star game.. Trading for Harden! Hardens first start, what a crazy game.. Sweeping away the Brewers at Wrigley Field north.. Soriano's 3 HR game Ramirez grandslam against the Phils..

    Brewers have now lost the first 3 of this 4 game set with the Phils and their wildcard lead is down to 1! Id seriously consider moving CC up to pitch the second game of this DH if I were the Brewcrew. This is a huge game for them. IIRC they have 6 more games against the Cubbies and play the Phillies 3 more games too. Not an easy schedule for them.. I'd love to see them finish this collapse and have the Cubs knock them out at the end of the season.

    Who or what is Chiball? This dont seem legit to me, saying Cuban was never in it. Also didnt Crayne Kenney (possible mispelling) just say that if Cuban is the highest bidder he dont see any reason why he wont be the owner.

    Where has Lee's power gone? Im quite confused about this.. Ive heard people say he lost it with the wrist injury. But, thats just not true he had it at the end of last year and the first 2 months of this year even. He hit like 16 HR's in the 1st 2 months of the season, so its not like he hadnt had power this year. Going off the top of my head Lee has only hit 1 HR since the game against the Sox when Rammy and him went back to back off Dotel. I wonder if he is injured or something cause its amazing he was hitting for that much power early in the season and just lost it..

    Despite what many would assume its actually quite common for velocity to be down after not throwing for 2 weeks. It may take a start or two to get his velocity totally back. Woods velocity was down a bit after his blister too.. In fact it seems he is starting to build it back up. He was hitting 98 consistently against the Giants earlier this year but in April he was throwing more in the 94 range. It can take a full month or longer to build the velocity back up. With Wood I expect he'll be hitting high 90s in the next week and Harden will be throwing gas in the playoffs.

    So does anyone know if multiple people from the same address can fill out applications. The rules say the same person cannot have multiple app's so I assume if there is multiple 18 year olds with credit cards they can both fill out applications?
