  1. Felix Heredia.. back from the dead like Jon Snow..
  2. 106 is the number I'm hoping for. One better than the 04 Cards and most in the NL since the 98 Braves also won 106. But anything over 100 would be amazing. 101 would be better than anything other than the 1906-1910 Cubs. We are a bullpen of doom away from winning like what 25 of our last 27. Bullpen lost game 1 vs white sox, a game against the mariners, two against the cards and one against the rockies. The only two losses tbat werent bullpen losses if I remember right was the 2nd game in the sox series & the coors field blowup the other day.
  3. Is Lastella actually Ski... how could you not be having fun in this epic season.
  4. Several twitter ppls asking if Arne Harris has risen from the grave for that segment. Need screenshots in the name of Arne..
  5. I'd say there is quicker players in the world to 1B than Usain. 1B is essentially a 30 yd dash, and you will see a few guys ahead of Usain to about 50 yd's but then his long strides take over and its done.
  6. CAUSE MADDEN THINKS THAT PLAYERS CAN JUST PLAY ANYWHERE. Well they are still baseball players and should know to talk and communicate on such plays I think he was being sarcastic. Coghlan has been an OF most of his career.. besides for Maddon throwing him at 2b last year lol which I dont remember him totally butchering anything, just looking awkward... which he always is.
  7. Id love to run into the Cards in the playoffs. 0 fear of their team.
  8. Man i like Heyward and know there is a good offensive player in there but damn his swing is painful to watch. Did his swing look like this with the Braves?
  9. Looked like CM Edwards tonight & send this idiot Joe Smith to wherever they sent Matusz.
  10. Not sure if this makes a difference at all but i wonder if there would be benefit to opening with Hendricks. Soft toss then go to Arrieta's wicked stuff the next night. you guys are getting too cute i remember theorizing that i'd start clement against pedro so that we wouldn't waste prior against him If you call me cute again you are goin to have to take me out for a seafood dinner..

  12. Yeah, I hear that one too. But if they're going to have multiple songs, SHC is... not a good choice. agreed. hate SHC. love whoomp there it is tho. thought it was awesome when they played rock n roll part 2 last night going into a pitching change (i think)...had a definite 90s bulls vibe. whoomp there it is during the Schwarbomb on the scoreboard against the Cards was magnificent last year..
  13. I love that Dan Haren follows her. She actually seems pretty awesome. From a quick glance at her page she posts that pic never bunt, hit dingers with the girl pulling her uniform up... likes brandon mccarthy, follows other teams & players, loves the cubbies, even followed cubs trade deadline, and best of all when Molina had a late inning HBP a couple weeks ago she posted a photo of the alert on gameday & said she would purposely lose a game to hit Molina with a pitch...
  14. I thought I saw somewhere that we are like 4th or 5th in HRs in the NL.. That was surprising considering we have 2 guys in the race for most NL HR's and seems like we are deep in HR hitters too. I think we have 5 over ten already? Which is pretty solid in this run environment.
  15. I made it somewhat a little less... face [expletive] -y. psh the young girl from twitter said DongDownYourThroats!!!
  16. Shouldve been Jorge Soler: Dongs Down Your Throats! Edit: Three hearted posts in 10 minutes should be enough to overturn the post title to my above suggested title.. plus it would piss Cardinals fans off even more...
  17. Remove Clayton Richard, Joe Smith, Brian Matusz, and PotatoChipless Hammel & we would be going for the Yankes +400 something record :D
  18. Not only is it 11 in a row, but we've won 14 of 15 with the only loss being a game somehow the bullpen of doom & a squeezed Arrieta walk lost us the game. 14-2 since Aroldis has been in the bullpen. Technically 14-3 since the trade but he wasn't in Chicago that first Monday game against the Sox.
  19. DongersDownTheThroat should be someones username here.
  20. he has and they haven't True.. OMG DONGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  21. Imagine if Wilson & Soler keep it going with the rest of our studs. Heyward could just be our Designated Fielder & Offense wouldnt miss a beat.
  22. After watching these glorious Dongs I had to repost this. This was in the Cardinals thread. But, who care about the Cardinals anymore. This is all about Cubs Dominance. Quick mental math so I might be off by a game or so, but: Cubs: 118-60 Cardinals: 97-82 21.5 games checks out. that's .663 for the Cubs. If we finish this out today we are at 119-60 over 179 games. Thats a 107.7 win pace. Round up to 108 cause that sounds friggin awesome and the Cubs have played at a 108 win pace over an ENTIRE season of baseball at 179 games. & that was with a horrid month long stretch. Hell they are at a 108 pace & I'd guess underperformed their pythag. They have probably been playing closer to a 110+ win team for around 180 games.
