  1. Got away with one on a really good pitch to Busch.
  2. The usual umps hate Seiya called strike.
  3. 50/50 shot that's going to just about do it for the night.
  4. and Tauchman is hurt. What even is this year?
  5. An endless supply of warning track shots.
  6. The Orioles are looking to replace Mullins who is struggling for the 2nd straight season. Obviously Holliday/Basallo/Mayo/Kjerstad are off the table and most likely so are Bradfield and Povich. The most optimistic scenario would involve Norby, but the Cubs would have to eat a lot of money and I'm still not sure it's realistic. In the more realistic tiers you have Jud Fabian, Dylan Beavers and Chayce McDermott. Even ignoring the Cub OF blockage, I'd still prefer McDermott here. Lots of reliever risk, but the stuff is good, while the control is not. Outside of that you could additionally probably get a lottery ticket in the 15-25 range.
  7. I'm going to be optimistic today. I feel like they score 2 runs.
  8. 8.5 games out of the division and 1.5 out of the WC , but with 8 teams ahead of them competing for those 3 spots. Could they technically make a run? Sure. Have they shown any indication whatsoever of doing so? Nope. If I'm Hoyer and this team continues to tank this week, then it's sale time and honestly even guys under contract for 2 or 3 more years might be on the table.
  9. If this score holds up, the Cardinals will score 6 runs in a 3 game series and still take 2 out of 3.
  10. On the negative side, holy horsefeathers this offense is terrible. Going into today their MLB ranks over the last month Runs: 25th wRC+: 26th SLG: 27th OBP: 23rd
  11. On the one plus side of things. Despite that terrible 2nd inning, Taillon really fought back today and gave them 6 solid innings.
  12. Yeah I've been watching that and waiting for an update, but still nothing
  13. Taillon was just facing one guy with a sub .550 OPS, a guy with a sub .500 OPS and a guy with a .510 OPS. He gave up a double, a HR and a single.
  14. Are you seriously horsefeathers kidding me with this Pages guy? He has 2 HR all year, both against the Cubs and a .566 OPS even after both of those HRs.
  15. Absolutely crazy that I can be in market, on a Sunday, which is also Father's day and it's Cubs/Cards, but I can't watch the game without buying a subscription. Keep digging your own grave MLB.
  16. I thought they had been mostly positive, but maybe I'm imagining that
  17. After his imminent promotion, if he keeps going anywhere near this, he's going to pop back up on a lot of top 100 lists
