  1. But I don't even work here!! That's what makes this so hard. Crackers.
  2. I'd put Leddy in that group too. I know you can't keep everyone but I thought for sure they would make Saad a priority. He was a monster in the playoffs, I don't think they win the cup without him.
  3. Not Maddon's best night. Jake was cruising. He will learn that beating the cardinals, especially in Busch, is like trying to kill Freddy Krueger.
  4. Damn straight. The Cubs are set up so well for the foreseeable future. Seeing as we had to sit through a few years of pain to get there, I wouldn't trade how it's working out for anyone.
  5. No more drunk Tony Larussa letting his cat drive. That almost got me in trouble at work I was laughing so long. Today has been the best.
  6. Rizzo is awesome. He seems so confident at the plate right now, never swinging at bad pitches.
  7. I'm sure I don't have to tell you this. Blues fans may be devoted, but they're not the brightest bunch. I just got into it on a friend's wall with some dude I don't know. He kept trashing the Hawks, (saying both quotes above), so I finally stepped into it. Proved he was an idiot, etc. he replied "we're up 2-0. That's all I need to say." That was an easy one to respond to. "When was the last time you had the Cup? Or won in the first round?" Nice. Put that Ice Creeper in his place.
  8. The W/L results have obviously been mixed, but I am so happy that Castro and Rizzo have looked great so far. I actually have some confidence in the offense and very little in the starting pitching. So basically the opposite of the previous couple years..... Would it have been out of the question to bring back Garza this offseason? Were bridges burned?
  9. #20 himself, plain as day!
  10. That name is never to be uttered again. Fine, he will be a prime era Kevin Mitchell with less homicidal rage.
  11. Will Clark with a lower average and maybe a little more power.
  12. Things were going so badly for Rizzo I was honestly concerned he wouldn't get 20 home runs this year. Hopefully this springboards him to a nice finish.
  13. Nice job Rizzo. Well past time for him to be moved out of the 3 hole. Arietta looks terrific so far, too.
  14. Really amazing how bad they've been. Honestly I think both of their ceilings are as really good complementary players. Next year will be very interesting for them.
  15. I am actually still a little miffed that Junior Lake didn't make the All Star team.
