Man, I still remember when some people were upset we traded DeRosa. Who knew one of the guys we got for him could be considered a deal breaker for some. I'm starting to come around to the deal.

I'm not happy about this deal, but I'm not totally against it either. If Garza can do what Lilly did in improving his numbers when moving from the AL East to the NL then, it'd be worth it because he'd probably be a #1 starter. I'm not sure that'll happen, but he should still improve I think. Losing Archer hurts a lot though. At least we would only give up one pitching prospect.

If Diamond can harness his control a little better, he's got potential to be a good 4th or 5th starter. I've seen him once in spring training and tonight and he's got some good stuff still but he has trouble locating his pitches.
