More often than not Ryan has been really good, certainly worth his salary. The hate for him, especially given all the more deserving targets, has been bizarre. Granted, it's only been from a couple of people. It's got to be a carryover effect from his time as closer during the previous dark period of Hendry era. He kind of sucked in the bullpen and has been a solid starter (before this year). It could be because he didn't do well like the entire team in that Dodgers series in 08

Nats draft former Cubs pick Bryan Harper, brother of Bryce. Looked at his stats this year for South Carolina and they weren't all that impressive.
