  1. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/news/story?id=5937356 UCONN broke UCLA's record. Now Auriema is critical of the attention. While I'm not "up in arms," about UCONN breaking UCLA's streak, I dislike the fact that the media insists on comparing records across the genders. Both streaks are impressive in their own right, but there is no need to compare records of coaches and teams between the mens and womens games. In my eyes UCONN did not break a record today, but extended the streak of their own dominance in their own sport. Congrats to them for being the best at what they do, its damn impressive, but lets keep the record books separate.
  2. this is sig worthy Do it. I'll be correct. Its totally true. I've got to think that the ATL game was in McCarthy's head tonight, which is why we were lollygagging it around the 40 yard line before the two minute warning. Absolutely infuriating. Dilfer pointed out the coaching staff deserved credit for getting Flynn ready. I agree with that. MM is great during the week, but now we need a guy who wins on gameday. Back the money truck up for Gruden.
  3. and fire McCarthy as soon as we lose.
  4. Whatever, at least we didn't get blown out. Rodgers probably wins the game tonight. Win the next two weeks and we're in. That's all that matters now.
  5. LOL Yeah...That is on Flynn. But whatever. The use of the timeouts was awful. That falls on MM. It was an entertaining game, that's more than I could have expected going into it. Hats off to Flynn on the great effort tonight.
  6. And that's why Mike McCarthy needs to be fired. Horrible clock management.
  7. Son of a bitch
  8. Keep the clock moving. Short high percentage passes. For as much crap as I gave McCarthy the gameplan has been solid.
  9. put down the drugs.
  10. Great response.
  11. Game over.
  12. pretty sure the Pats had a block in the back there Well Leach had the play stopped, but hit a guy in the wrong colored jersey, which allowed Connolly to bounce outside. Should have been stopped for little to no gain.
  13. Quit showing this [expletive].
  14. That a boy MATTY
  15. I hate you Jared Bush.
  16. Well that was fun. Dropped pick. 3 and 17 conversion, and a 30+ yard td run. Ugh
  17. Not a terrible start. Lets see how the D holds up.
  18. Interesting decision McCarthy.
  19. I have a drastically different opinion of the Packers roster. its solid, but I wouldn't declare it Super Bowl There's a reason why a significant amount of experts picked the Pack to reach the Super Bowl at the beginning of the season. It'll be interesting to see how GB's defense handles the Pats tonight.
  20. That's another reason why I just hope they fire him immediately after this season if we don't make the playoffs. I don't think it makes any sense to keep him employed where he knows he's fired if he has a bad season. Besides 2007, we usually get off to slow starts under McCarthy and I don't really see how that would help if we got off to another one next season. Playoffs should not be the benchmark. This team should make the playoffs by sleep walking through the season. The benchmark is Super Bowls. The Packers have a Super Bowl roster, but they don't have the man at the top to get them there. I think along with Dallas the GB job would be the most attractive to a Gruden or Cowher. Go out, hit the home run, come home with the Lombardi.
  21. There's only one opinion that matters, and its Ted Thompsons. I want him gone no matter what, he is not going to get the team to the next level.
  22. No, but beating two playoff-caliber teams in back-to-back games won't be an easy task, even though both games are at Lambeau. Even if the Bears win the division before Week 17, they'll likely still be playing for the 2nd seed and a first-round bye in that game. Certainly no easy task. But its doable. Keeping Rodgers upright against the Giants and the Bears pass rushes will be a huge challenge.
  23. With the happenings of today's games, Green Bay only needs to beat the Giants and the Bears to make the playoffs. No matter what happens tonight we control our own destiny. Suddenly its not so hopeless. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/112158854.html
  24. That's not really fair, Mike Davis had a rebound. At what point does Weber start to just play Richmond and Griffey together? Just beat Mizzou and forget about this. I'm not really sure what to make of the loss at this point.
  25. Just got back from a double dip of Illini and Bulls at the UC today. What a craptastic day. Tisdale blew ass, Mike Davis is a [expletive] ass bag troll who never shows up, and I want to run them all until they puke twice. [expletive] pathetic. Just horrible.
