I mean, sure, he was a bit shaky at times, and he wasn't exactly an ace, but I loved during the beginning of the year everyone would write off a Marquis start as a loss. I particularily remember when it was Marquis vs. Halladay and everyone, including me wrote it off as a loss. But Marquis went something like 7 IP 2 ER and the Cubs won. He always seemed to prove everyone wrong. He had a great game against the Dodgers in the final game of that 7 game road trip, and he was the one who broke our 6 game losing streak. When he's on, I enjoy watching him pitch. I agree that he needs to go if peavy is going to be traded here, but I will always love the fact that it always seemed like he was reading NSBB threads and determined to prove us wrong. Wasn't his ERA in the second half 3.8ish?
